Brooklyn Peltz Beckham offered new insight into his relationship with father David Beckham amid speculation of presumed family tension.

Brooklyn, 26, told The Times of London in a profile published on Saturday, May 10, that he started taking an interest in racing cars when he was “very young” under David’s tutelage.

“It’s something that me and my dad bonded over,” Brooklyn told the outlet while attending Miami’s F1 Grand Prix earlier this month. “My dad’s had some pretty cool cars.”

Brooklyn, like his 50-year-old dad, has an affinity for collecting cars — and now driving them.

“Obviously, the first day I was a little bit nervous and today I was a lot calmer,” Brooklyn said of racing. “It was very snug [the first time], and it wasn’t as hot today, which I was happy about.”

Brooklyn is the eldest son of David and his wife, singer-turned-designer Victoria Beckham. The couple also shares sons Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20, as well as daughter Harper, 13.

According to Brooklyn, he is “sure” that his relatives have seen footage of his newfound racing career via social media. His family, namely David, also subtly inspired his race-day helmet.

“It has the two angels from my company, Cloud 23, and the ‘237’ [are] my lucky numbers: 23 and 7,” Brooklyn said of his pink helmet, which The Times reported uses digits that correspond to David’s jersey numbers when he played soccer for Manchester United and Real Madrid, respectively. He added, “It [also] has the day when I asked my missus to marry me, the Union Jack, my wife’s eyes on top and the location of where I was born.”

Brooklyn, who married Nicola Peltz Beckham in 2022, has reportedly been at the center of a family feud just as long. Upon his wedding day, speculation swirled that Nicola, 30, and Victoria, 51, were at odds because the actress’ bridal gown wasn’t designed by her future mother-in-law.

Both Nicola and Victoria, however, publicly denied rumors of a feud.

“I was going to and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, [Victoria] realized that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress,” Nicola told Variety in August 2022. “She didn’t say you can’t wear it; I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it.”

Three years later, Brooklyn and Nicola’s family dynamic raised eyebrows again when they missed two of David’s 50th birthday parties. A source exclusively told Us earlier in May that David and Victoria had enough of any alleged drama.

“David and Victoria are over it,” the insider told Us. “They’ve thrown in the towel over the whole thing. David and Victoria just want to treat everyone the same and approach life like a family, and the family does things a certain way, but Brooklyn isn’t playing it like that, and everything is a drama.”

None of the Beckham family members has publicly addressed the latest alleged feud.
