Brynn Whitfield is facing backlash from fans over her alleged actions on the season finale of Real Housewives of New York. Meanwhile, her castmates shared their thoughts on the dramatic fight between Brynn and Ubah Hassan, and they hinted at the upcoming reunion.

In the previous episode, Ubah suggested that Brynn might have slept with someone to get on the show — an accusation Brynn denied. The two co-stars fought about this multiple times throughout the Puerto Rico cast trip.

At the end of the trip, Brynn revealed to the cast that she was sexually assaulted when she was 34. The star also said she told Ubah about this in the past, which made Ubah’s recent accusation more hurtful. The cast was then offended that Ubah insulted Brynn knowing the trauma she went through.

But when Jessel Taank told Ubah what Brynn was saying, Ubah got upset and vehemently denied that she knew about the assault. Brynn then allegedly admitted off-camera that she wasn’t sure if Ubah “clocked” what she was saying when she told her about it. At this point, the castmates then questioned if Brynn was lying. Not about the assault, but about if she actually told Ubah about it.

After the finale, fans shared their reactions.

“Brynn is a narcissist and a master manipulator,” wrote one user on X. “She got the fight she wanted with Ubah. She’s so used to manipulating people but lost control and made a HUGE accusation against Ubah. And now the entire cast realizes she’s been lying and manipulating them all.”

“Brynn confirmed to have LIED on Ubah by saying Ubah knew Brynn was a survivor of sexual assault in order to win an argument against Ubah,” wrote another. “Brynn is DONE.”

“We all believe Brynn’s experience. We all acknowledge that it happened,” said a third. “It’s about the way she weaponizes her trauma against people. Specifically, Ubah. THAT is SICK! INEXCUSABLE!!”

In a Bravo TV interview, Brynn and her castmates reacted to the finale drama.

Racquel Chevremont said one castmate “crawled away” from their trip, seemingly referring to Brynn, who flew back early.

“I feel like everything is basically Anguilla 2.0,” expressed Brynn herself, alluding to Ubah and Erin’s feud during last season’s trip to Anguilla. “Except now, it’s like the battle royale is between Ubah and I. It’s like same thing: Hot Tub Time Machine From Hell.”

During the finale, Jessel apparently informed Ubah of Brynn’s accusations off-camera.

“You know, there’s a part of me that felt like I did the right thing, but then there’s also a part of me that’s like, ‘F—, I just lit this s— on fire,’” said Jessel in the recent interview. “I do think I did the right thing. I’m not questioning what I ended up doing.”

Jessel claimed Ubah and Brynn’s tension affected the cast all season.

“We have been sandwiched between this Brynn and Ubah argument, and I just wanted — for me, the whole time — I just wanted to diffuse the situation,” she explained. “So I think that’s what I was trying to achieve. Just to diffuse the situation … [But] this is why I don’t get involved. You see what happens.”

Racquel believes the upcoming reunion may be helpful, as there’s blame on both sides.

“I would hope that there would be some insight [to the fight]” said Racquel. “I think the initial issues that led to the complete breakdown — Ubah, there were certain things that Ubah did to contribute. But then, Brynn took it a little too far.”

Erin claimed that, on her flight back to New York, she was processing it all.

“I was replaying my relationships for the past couple of years,” said the star. “And like maybe something from the past meant something. It just really changed my view on a lot of things … I think there’s some things that don’t feel recoverable.”

Though Ubah expressed uncertainty about the future, she hinted that she likes forgiving people.

“I don’t know what the future holds,” said Ubah. “But I can tell you, looking at the past, it has been very difficult.”

Erin expressed hope for accountability at the reunion.

“I think what would end everything, and I think would be sort of like a rebirth in our group, is if everybody took ownership for what they did wrong,” stated Erin. “I just don’t know that that’s going to happen. But if it did, I think there’s a real opportunity for us to move forward as a group.”
