Carol Vorderman took advantage of her free speech in ‘cabinet k***s’ dig after losing her job at the BBC.

The Countdown legend slammed the Conservative government in a brutal swipe as Suella Braverman’s sacking kickstarted a major cabinet reshuffle by Rishi Sunak, as he reshapes his top team ahead of next week’s Autumn Statement.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Carol, 62, mocked the Tories with an image of a shop display advertising cabinet knobs priced at 50p a piece.

She captioned the post: “Tories have been advertising again #Reshuffle.”

Her comments comes just days after it was announced the presenter was forced to leave her job on BBC Radio Wales over her use of social media which went against the broadcaster’s guidelines.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, the mathematician took another swipe at the Tories following today’s events as she took issue with former Prime Minister David Cameron’s appointment as Foreign Secretary.

In view of 900,000 followers, Carol tweeted: “Absolutely appalled at today’s events

“Clinging desperately onto power, the unelected Tory PM, Sunak, has to scrape the barrel and bring back a disgraced Prime Minister to fulfill his reshuffle.

“How many more times do we have to be insulted? General Election Now.”

Mr Sunak ended the Cabinet career of Mrs Braverman in a brutal phone sacking as she is replaced by the new Home Secretary James Cleverly.

She was sacked as home secretary, after she defied No 10 over an article accusing the Metropolitan Police of bias in the policing of protests.

The newly-appointed Lord Cameron vowed to be “part of the strongest possible team” for the next election.

David Cameron has been out of Parliament since he stood down as prime minister in 2016 and has been given a seat in the House of Lords to enable him to take up his new position.

Carol’s comments come after she announced losing her role at the BBC.

As she cut ties with the BBC last week, to the delight of her fans – she promised on X to “increase calling out this disgusting Tory govt with facts & data which the rightwing media fails to publish”.

The star said she has been “brought up to fight” for what she believes in. “I have decided to continue to criticise the current UK government for what it has done to the country which I love. And I’m not prepared to stop. I was brought up to fight for what I believe in. And I will carry on,” she then concluded.
