Carrie Underwood, a celebrated judge on American Idol, recently took to Instagram to express her heartfelt thanks to fans as the auditions for the show’s 24th season drew to a close. Underwood, who stepped into the role of judge in 2025 for the show’s 23rd season, replaced Katy Perry. Perry had decided to step away after seven seasons to refocus on her own musical pursuits. With an impressive track record of selling 85 million records worldwide, achieving 28 number-one singles, and garnering numerous accolades including eight Grammys and 17 American Music Awards, Underwood’s credentials make her an ideal fit for the judging panel.
