Charli Burnett is under fire after claiming she never worked at SUR Restaurant, despite what fans saw on Vanderpump Rules.

Following a podcast appearance last week, Charli, 28, is being called out not only by the restaurant’s manager and her former co-star, Peter Madrigal, 40, but fans who say they’ve been served by her — all while a resurfaced tweet has seemingly confirmed that Charli absolutely did work at Lisa Vanderpump‘s West Hollywood hotspot.

“I would literally come in, do a fake shift, and leave,” Charli shared on the May 6 episode of the Trying To Figure It Out podcast.

According to Charli, producers stopped filming during people’s actual shifts because it was “just too chaotic.”

“Everything was planned. So I would come in at like, before the rush, or before people came in, we would film three to five, and I would take fake orders, and then I would leave,” she alleged. “But other people worked there. I didn’t.”

After the snippet was shared, however, Peter spoke out, refuting Charli’s statements.

“What is she talking about? Am I going crazy? I literally remember telling her what section to take!” he declared in a comment. “Do I actually work at Sur lol I do. Unless it’s all a simulation and we’re in the matrix.”

Other IG users said Charli “literally served our table.”

“Girl you took my coworker and her [mom’s] order w/NO CAMERAS anywhere [in sight]…. I’m confused Lol,” one person shared. 

“You 100% worked there,” another agreed.

And a third said Charli was “lying because it’ll get headlines if she says it was all fake.”

“I’ve heard people say they saw [her] there when cameras weren’t rolling,” they added. 

“You don’t gotta lie to kick it Charli what’s up with that girl?” someone else asked. “But really, what a weird thing to lie about.”

Another person pointed to a January 2022 message she shared on Twitter, now X, about working at SUR.

“I wasn’t in the last episodes because of Covid outbreaks & unfortunately it kept happening to me because I was actually at SUR working. Which really sucked..” she stated.

Vanderpump Rules season 12 is currently in production with an all-new cast.
