The catsuit trend has made a striking return.
Now, they’re turning heads with their entirely sheer lace designs.
Earlier this week, Charlize Theron set Instagram abuzz by posting two captivating photos from her “Disco Intherono” themed holiday party held last weekend. In these snapshots, she stunned in a jet-black lace bodysuit crafted by Norma Kamali, priced at $275. Complementing her ensemble, she wore metallic strappy sandals and adorned herself with gold jewelry, all while intriguingly lounging in a bathtub as if it were a chaise longue.
Theron completed her look with timeless oversized gold hoop earrings, enhanced by two slim bangles on one wrist and a more substantial bracelet on the other.
The lace attire was entirely transparent, featuring long sleeves and leggings with stirrup-style bottoms. A black leather belt cinched her waist, highlighting the actress’s svelte figure.
“Oh what a night!” one post was captioned, while the other read “My homage to the greatest diva… Jerry hall.”
In the group of posts referencing Hall, she included two photos of the model posing in a similar black lace catsuit at a party in a Paris nightclub in 1976.
The look was in honor of “her iconic holiday party,” according to her hairstylist, Adir Abergel.
The party was a “Disco Intherono,” with guests dressing up as a variety of ‘70s partygoers, including one as legendary pop artist Andy Warhol.
“We’re not worthy,” wrote one fan, while another comment shared, “Ma’am you cant just post this without a warning.”
This past summer, the 50-year-old wore a similar look, choosing a Givenchy mesh catsuit for the premiere of “The Old Guard 2” in Los Angeles.
However, that look was more conservative than Theron’s holiday attire, with high-waisted briefs and a bralette underneath, a tuxedo blazer layered on top.
Continuing her skin-baring style streak, Theron stepped out in Paris in another Givenchy ensemble two months ago. This look featured a white suit with nothing but a black bralette underneath, chains layered down her torso.
Though few other photos have yet surfaced from the event, both Natasha Lyonne and Dylan Mulvaney took to the comments to share the fun they’d had, confirming their attendance at the disco-inspired event.
‘Tis the season for holiday parties, but none have looked nearly as much fun as this glittery night out that began in the bathtub.
