Chase Chrisley Details Todd and Julie Chrisley's 'Beautiful' Reunion

Chase Chrisley is sharing what it’s like to have his parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, back under the same roof following their prison release.

“I’m emotional. It was a beautiful moment,” Chase said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight on Thursday, May 29, while holding back tears. “I don’t think it really hit me until they were both home and I got to see my mom and dad hug each other and embrace each other.”

Chase added that everyone was “hugging each other and crying.”

“It was just a beautiful moment and answered prayers for sure,” he continued. “I can’t even describe it like the amount of joy that I felt.”

Chase noted that while the reunion was emotional for the entire Chrisley family, Todd and Julie’s interaction after spending years apart behind bars.

“They both just burst into tears and my dad wrapped his arms around my mom,” Chase explained. “I don’t think he’s let go and I don’t think he’ll ever let go.”

Todd and Julie were reunited with their children on Thursday, May 29, after being pardoned by President Donald Trump. In addition to Chase, the Chrisley Knows Best stars also share daughter Savannah, son Grayson, and adopted daughter Chloe, who is the biological child of Todd’s son Kyle. Todd is also the father of daughter Lindsie from a previous marriage.

Savannah gave a glimpse of her mom and dad sitting on a sofa as they caught up.

“Reunited and it feels so good!” read a sticker placed on Savannah’s Instagram Story upload.

In 2019, Todd and Julie were indicted on fraud charges. Despite maintaining their innocence, the pair were found guilty in 2022. Todd was sentenced to 12 years in prison in Florida, while his wife was set to serve seven years in Kentucky. Their sentences were reduced by nearly two years in 2024.

While her parents remained behind bars, Savannah constantly advocated for their release. Earlier this week, the Chrisleys achieved a win when Todd and Julie received a presidential pardon from Trump on Tuesday, May 27.

“It’s a terrible thing but it’s a great thing, because your parents are going to be free and clean,” Trump told Savannah in a phone call. “I hope we can do it by tomorrow. I don’t know them, but give them my regards. Wish them a good life.”

Savannah reacted to the news in a statement to Us Weekly.

“For the past two and a half years, I’ve done everything in my power to fight for my parents’ freedom and bring them home,” Savannah said in a statement. “This moment is the answer to countless prayers, and I am beyond grateful to President Trump for seeing the truth and restoring my family.”

She continued: “I also want to thank Alice Marie Johnson for her unwavering support and our attorney, Alex Little, for being an essential part of this process. Today is a victory for our family, but the fight against wrongful convictions and injustice within our prison system is far from over. I will continue to use my voice and platform to advocate for those who do not have one. Family is everything to me, and I will never stop fighting for what is right.”
