Cher has indeed found someone — and their relationship appears stronger than ever.

The music icon, 78, attended the SNL 50 Special at New York City’s Rockefeller Centre on Sunday, February 16, with her boyfriend, Alexander “AE” Edwards, and the pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other.

Smiling for the cameras while hitting the event’s star-studded red carpet, the “Believe” singer and Edwards, 39, kept their arms around one another with Cher turning her face into Edwards to share an intimate laugh with him.

Edwards, a music executive, donned a black suit while Cher dazzled in a floor-length black gown teamed with a black fur stole that hung over her arms. The singer’s famed long locks were mostly pulled into a voluminous beehive as she left the front section long to frame her face.

The outing came on the back of Cher’s performance at SNL50: The Homecoming Concert on Friday, February 14, which saw her recreate the music video from one of her most famed hits, “If I Could Turn Back Time.”

Cher and Edwards’ 40-year age gap initially made headlines in November 2022 when the pair were seen holding hands during an outing in Los Angeles. Just one month later, Cher took to Twitter (now X) to reveal a diamond ring Edwards had gifted her.

“THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER, A.E,” Cher tweeted at the time. “Woke up a min ago, & 1st thing … B4 I opened my eyes, I thought, ‘I need 2 run to Mom’s & show her my ring. She loves Diamonds.’ Before I realized it, I had a little tear, but I’m sure this is natural. Bet Mom’s ears were burning last nite. We were telling stories about her, WHAT A WOMAN.”

Cher, who had referenced her late mother, Georgia Holt, later revealed that it wasn’t an engagement ring, before the pair officially split in May 2023. But in October that year, the couple had reunited, appearing together at the Balmain show at Paris Fashion Week.

A source told Us Weekly at the time, “Cher and AE have been back together for a while now and they’re closer than ever. All their friends think they are adorable together and they have amazing chemistry.”

Their reunion has also led to musical collaboration between Cher and Edwards, with an insider revealing that the pair spent time in the studio in 2024. “AE and Cher have been working on music together, and AE even helped produce her latest Christmas album,” the source said last year. “Everybody knows Cher is a music legend, but AE’s been trying to introduce her to a new sound with a little bit of New Age influence.”
