Andy Dick was found unresponsive on the streets of Hollywood, apparently due to an overdose.
The comedian was discovered slumped on the concrete steps of a building on Tuesday, as captured in photographs obtained by TMZ.
In one image, Dick is seen wearing a tan jacket, black t-shirt, plaid pajama pants, and black Crocs, with his glasses lying on the ground. Another photo shows him stretched out flat on the concrete while someone stands nearby.
Witnesses reported to the outlet that several of Dick’s friends rushed to his side, trying desperately to revive him. One friend from his “NewsRadio” days was heard shouting at Dick to “wake up,” while others contacted emergency services for help.
According to TMZ, a bystander called out for Narcan, a crucial medication for reversing opioid overdoses, and Dick was promptly administered the dose.
A rep for the Los Angeles Fire Department told the outlet that they responded to the location for an overdose involving a 59-year-old male, who was not transported to the hospital.
Dick, 59, spoke to TMZ by phone Tuesday night, telling the outlet that he was alive and okay. He would not disclose exactly what happened.
Page Six has reached out to Dick’s rep and the LAPD for comment but did not immediately hear back.
The former “Andy Dick Show” star has a long history of drug and alcohol abuse.
He has also faced several run-ins with the law, including allegations of sexual misconduct and arrests.
In 2022, Dick was ordered to register as a sex offender after being convicted of sexual battery in 2018.
At the time, an Uber driver accused Dick of groping him and the former TV star was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
