Andy Dick has dismissed the idea of attending rehab following a recent incident where he was discovered unconscious, allegedly due to a crack cocaine overdose.
The comedian emphatically stated, “Absolutely not,” in response to whether he planned to address his substance abuse issues.
In an unusual exchange caught on camera by TMZ within his Los Angeles residence, Dick asserted, “I’m not entering rehab.”
When a photographer inquired if the 59-year-old former “Andy Dick Show” star felt content with his current situation, Dick responded, “Absolutely. I’m surrounded by my two friends here … escaping them won’t be easy.”
Despite this, Dick later announced his intention to “find a way out.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Dick admitted he smoked crack cocaine with a random man he met on the streets of LA before his overdose.
The stand-up comedian said he took the drugs because he doesn’t “mind doing a little crack every now and then.”
On Tuesday, an alarming video surfaced of the unresponsive comedian sitting on the cement stairs of a building in Hollywood. He sat slumped over as his glasses lay on the ground in front of him.
The former “NewsRadio” star was dressed in a tan jacket, black tee, plaid pajama pants and black Crocs.
In the clip obtained by TMZ, several people attempted to revive Dick and he was offered Narcan, a life-saving medication that quickly reverses opioid overdoses.
Though Dick later told the outlet he was alive and OK, more details about the incident began surfacing.
An eyewitness told The Post that Dick became discolored and needed multiple sprays of Narcan to be saved.
“He was turning blue,” local security guard Shawn Harrell shared. “When I saw him first, he was down, slumped over, and they pushed him up a little bit and he fell backwards. When they finally got him up, his face and hands were blue.”
Dick has battled addiction over the years and has had several run-ins with the law.
