Paige DeSorbo wasn’t honest about her career when she found herself being considered for a role on the third season of Summer House in 2019.
Weeks after confirming she would be stepping away from the series after seven seasons with the Bravo show, Paige, 32, was featured on the “Business of Being You: Personal Branding in the Creator Economy” panel at the 2025 Create & Cultivate Festival in Los Angeles, where she came clean about the lie she told early on in her reality run.
“[I] just made it up,” Paige admitted of her claim of being a “fashion influencer,” via Parade. “I didn’t have a thing. I just made it up that I was a fashion influencer and I had like 2,000 followers.”
According to Paige, she had the upper hand when it came to the actual launch of her fashion influencer career due to her role on Summer House.
“I think I was in a little bit of a different position than other influencers and creators because I started on a reality show, so I knew the date of when it was going to air,” she explained. “I give a lot of credit to the creators and influencers who either go viral overnight or have been working at this.”
In early June, months after splitting from her longtime boyfriend, Craig Conover, 37, of Southern Charm, Paige shared a statement with her fans and followers on Instagram, revealing that she would not be featured on Summer House season 10.
“I’ve made the decision not to return to Summer House,” Paige wrote at the time. “Being a part of this show has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life — the friendships, the drama, the giggles, all unforgettable. You’ve seen me grow up over these last [seven] summers. I’ll always be beyond grateful for the memories, the community, and the opportunities this wild ride has brought me. But like all good things (and some bad decisions), it’s time for this chapter to close.”
Summer House season 10 is currently in production and expected to premiere later this year or early next year on Bravo.
