In a heartbreaking update, Cori Broadus, the daughter of renowned rapper Snoop Dogg, shared the devastating news of her infant daughter Codi’s passing. The child, who was born prematurely in February 2025, tragically passed away 10 months later.

Over the weekend, Cori took to Instagram Stories to express her sorrow. “Monday, I lost the love of my life. My Codi,” she captioned a poignant black and white photo of herself tenderly holding her baby in a hospital setting. To symbolize her grief, she added an angel wing emoji to her announcement.

Her fiancé, Wayne Deuce, also poured out his emotions on Instagram Stories, mourning the loss of their daughter. “I’ve been the saddest since you left me, Codi Dreaux,” he wrote alongside a touching image of himself cuddling the infant. “But I know you’re at peace. Daddy will always love you. My baby,” he concluded, capturing the depth of his heartache.

Just days earlier, on January 6, Broadus joyfully shared that she was finally able to bring Codi home after the baby had spent 10 months in the NICU. The family’s joy was, unfortunately, short-lived, as they now face the immense loss of their beloved child.

Broadus, 26, shared on January 6 that she was finally allowed to bring her baby home after 10 months in the NICU.

“She’s home. 🤍” Broadus captioned an Instagram carousel of herself snuggling the baby in bed. Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all. 🕊️✨”

She shared the post to her Instagram Stories on Saturday, adding atop the post, “20 days later? Dawg I’m sick.”

Cori — whom the iconic rapper shares with Shante Broadus — announced the birth of her daughter in an emotional social media post last year.

“The princess arrived at 6 months 🥹👶🏽🎀,” the CHOC businesswoman captioned a Feb. 28 Instagram post, alongside a pic of a tiny foot.

“I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself because I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed. But no matter what God always shows me that He got me!”

She added, “Baby girl came at 25 weeks today and she’s the best!! Thank You God for getting me this far.”

Via Instagram Stories, she shared that the baby was born via C section and that it was a “success.”

She followed up with another Instagram Story saying that she “was developing ‘HELLP SYNDROME’ which is very severe and can even cause death if untreated,” referencing a pregnancy complication that can affect the blood system and liver.

She’d previously told E! News that a diagnosis of lupus (an autoimmune condition) made her pregnancy “high risk.”

Cori’s followers on Instagram gathered in the comments threads of posts about her daughter to offer words of comfort following the sad announcement.

“Condolences to the family 😢” one person wrote, while another added, “She was so adorable.” Another follower wrote, “heart broke instantly.”
