Blue Ivy has been in the spotlight since before she was even born. The media was in an absolute frenzy following Beyoncé‘s pregnancy announcement via the MTV VMAs, and even more so following Blue Ivy’s birth. Of course, rumors swirled regarding whether Beyoncé was actually pregnant or using a surrogate, but the BeyHive and sources close to both Beyoncé and Jay-Z were quick to step in and squash falsehoods and rumors.
From there, fans of both Beyoncé and Jay-Z have been obsessed with everything Blue Ivy does, from her personal style to the projects she has worked on with her mother, and her overall presence when she is at events with her famous parents. For their part, Jay and Bey clearly let their daughter take the lead, while offering her plenty of opportunities in fashion, music, and more.
Now that Blue Ivy is older, it seems that she is embracing life in the spotlight, since her on-stage appearances have been becoming more and more frequent, leading many to wonder if she is being mentored to eventually have her own on-stage persona.
Blue Ivy Has Many Projects Under Her Belt Already
Even as a tween, Blue Ivy already has quite an impressive body of work attached to her name already. She has appeared in several video projects alongside her mother Beyoncé, including Black Is King and Beyoncé: Lemonade.
Blue Ivy also appears on songs like Brown Skin Girl, Blue, and Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing, and even narrated the book Hair Love by Matthew A Cherry at just eight years old. She is the second-youngest winner in Grammy Award history for Brown Skin Girl, a song that also got her an MTV VMA, a BET Award, and an NAACP Award.
Blue Ivy made one of her first performance cameos with her mother during the 94th Annual Academy Awards, where Beyoncé performed Be Alive from the movie King Richard. Blue Ivy can be seen towards the end of the video dancing in front of her mother alongside the rest of the dancers.
She surprised fans by once again appearing on stage with her mother during her Dubai concert to duet Brown Skin Girl, which fans and the media responded very positively to, with many commenting on how she absolutely slayed the performance.
Beyoncé Stepped Aside To Let Blue Ivy Shine On Stage
Beyoncé is known for putting on incredible performances with a lot of elaborate dancing, light shows, set pieces, and costumes that all come together to create memorable experiences for the audience. She puts all her energy into putting on the best show possible, as was evident by her Coachella performance.

It seems that she is now bringing Blue Ivy into that realm with the same energy during the Renaissance Tour because the young protégé made a few appearances on stage to dance while her mother sings, a move that has surprised and delighted most that have seen the performances.
All eyes were certainly on Blue Ivy, as Beyoncé stepped back to let her firstborn take the lead among the professional dancers on stage.
She even took the time to praise Blue Ivy on social media by posting several pictures of her performing with the caption “I’m so proud and thankful to be your mama. You bring us so much joy, my sweet angel.”
Netizens Have Gone Crazy Over Blue Ivy’s Performance
The internet, and of course the BeyHive, have been fans of Blue Ivy since she was born to her prestigious parents Beyoncé and hip hop mogul and legend Jay-Z. Whether it be matching outfits with her mother or her own personal style, fans are quick to praise the pre-teen’s style.
Now that praise has extended out to her on-stage appearances. Comments on both YouTube and Instagram have been flooded with positivity over Blue Ivy’s dancing on stage with phrases like “Blue killed that” and “Great job Blue Ivy.”
Others have been quick to point out how Blue Ivy has seemingly been getting more and more confident with each passing performance while also praising both her and Beyoncé’s outfits. Both Beyoncé and Blue Ivy wore outfits that corresponded with what the dancers were wearing, and fans loved that Blue Ivy was dressed appropriately for her age.
Whether it be voice-overs, video appearances, singing, or holding her own among professional dancers, Blue Ivy is slowly but surely making a name for herself in the entertainment industry, and her comfort and stage presence has shown that she might be ready to have her time in the spotlight as another child of Hollywood.
