People are going bananas over Meghan Markle’s waffles. The Duchess of Sussex celebrated St. Patrick’s Day by making green-themed breakfast treats for husband Prince Harry and kids Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3, and fans are now calling Meghan out for her questionable shamrock waffle recipe.
On Monday, March 17, Meghan, 43, shared a series of content via Instagram Stories, putting the spotlight on her family’s holiday morning at home. In the first video, the former Suits star whisked green waffle batter in a bowl before pouring it into a waffle maker. However, when Meghan shared a video of Archie and Lilibet’s plates, which each included a green waffle and a face made up of blueberries and kiwi slices with whipped cream disguised as hair.
“For the kids …” the text read over the clip.
Meghan also took a photo of Harry’s meal, where he had a slice of the waffle maker on his plate along with strawberry slices and a dollop of whipped cream.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed a major difference between the children’s plates and the adult plate as Archie and Lilibet were seemingly given frozen Kellog waffles while Meghan and Harry, 40, enjoyed the homemade batch.

“I immediately saw the difference when I saw the video. I couldn’t grasp the reason to lie about waffles. What kind of person needs to do that? Meghan Markle is a walking scam,” a fan wrote via X later that day along with screenshots of the waffle maker video and the kids’ waffles.
Meanwhile, others slammed her cooking skills and choices around the kitchen following the debut of her Netflix cooking and lifestyle series With Love, Meghan.
“She’s never made waffles before. The waffle maker is dry and hot, you need non-stick spray,” a second person responded via X.
Additionally, a third fan accused Meghan of showcasing the waffle maker, which was gifted by the late Queen Elizabeth, for Royal clout.

“Yeah kids ate the frozen one while she and her useless handbag husband are the freshly made ones … pathetic lazy mother,” the third person wrote. “She just grifted the alleged gift of the late queen to stay in news to scream I AM A ROYAL TOO. Don’t miss me.”
Despite the online chatter, both the kids and adult waffles were homemade and not store-bought. Two separate waffle makers that are different sizes were used, a smaller one for the kids and a larger one for the adults.
In 2021, Harry revealed that Meghan made him and Archie homemade waffles after Queen Elizabeth gifted them a waffle maker.

“My grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas and Meg said a waffle maker. She sent us a waffle maker for Archie. So, breakfast now, Meg makes up a beautiful organic mix in the waffle maker,” Harry told host James Corden during a February 2021 appearance on The Late Late Show of Meghan, who was pregnant with Lilibet at the time.
The family patriarch gushed that Archie was so obsessed with the breakfast item that he would yell “waffles” upon waking up in the morning.
Harry also shared his perfectly prepared waffle order, which included, “Bit of yogurt, bit of jam on top. I don’t know if that’s the right thing to do. Bit of berries, maybe honey.”
