The family and friends of Stephen “tWitch” Boss are not happy with his widow, Allison Holker, airing out details of his drug addiction as she promotes her new memoir.

Courtney Ann Platt, who describes herself as a longtime friend of tWitch and Allison, 36, since the moment they “connected,” slammed the widow for publicly labeling her late husband as a drug user after the dancer claimed she allegedly found a stash of drugs in his shoeboxes before his funeral.

“This is by far the most tacky, classless, opportunistic act I have ever seen in my entire life. We all had to sign some weird NDA to attend his funeral (even his own mother who you’ve treated like garbage this entire time and let’s just remember you wouldn’t have even had a husband if it wasn’t for her) not to share anything or ruin his name as if that was on anyone’s mind in the first place,” she wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, January 7. “Here you go and write a book with all the dirty laundry smearing his name and attempting to dim the bright loyal, loving, light that was your husband, my friend.”

Courtney slammed Allison for “publishing a book shamelessly sharing the pages” of her late husband’s journal.

“Yes, he took his own life which is a fact all of us still can’t fathom and he was clearly having mental health issues, hurting so deeply and this is your example of empathy? Of your love?” the message continued. “This smear campaign for a buck is absolutely not what he would have ever wanted. No matter how bad he was hurting. Not for second. You’re a living, breathing bulldozer.”

Boss’ cousin also cosigned Courtney’s claims, writing on X, “Yeah idgaf about an NDA. This crazy woman made me and his actual family including sign an NDA just to even attend the funeral. She’s been trying to tarnish his legacy and refuses to let the Boss family see the children. Only to exploit and LIE on my cousin. Hell no.”

Allison revealed details of her husband’s December 2022 death in an interview with People published earlier that day. She opened up about how when looking for an outfit for his funeral, she found a “cornucopia” of drugs that included mushrooms, pills and “other substances” in his closet.

“It was a really triggering moment for me because there were a lot of things I discovered in our closet that I did not know existed. It was very alarming to me to learn that there was so much happening that I had no clue [about],” Allison told the outlet. “It was a really scary moment in my life to figure that out, but it also helped me process that he was going through so much and he was hiding so much, and there must have been a lot of shame in that.”

The So You Think You Can Dance alum went on to reveal that she went through Stephen’s journals following his death, where he alluded to being the victim of childhood sexual abuse by a male figure.

“He was wrestling with a lot inside himself, and he was trying to self-medicate and cope with all those feelings because he didn’t want to put it on anyone because he loved everyone so much,” Allison said. “He didn’t want other people to take on his pain.”

In Touch previously confirmed the former The Ellen DeGeneres Show DJ – who was famous for his charming personality, died by suicide on December 13, 2022. Allison alerted the Los Angeles Police Department that her husband had left their home without his car, noting that this was strange behavior for him.

The Los Angeles Coroner Investigator’s Narrative detailed that Boss checked in to the Oak Tree Inn located in Encino, California, on December 12, 2022. After he failed to check out the following day, the hotel manager and housekeeping staff let themselves into his room, finding his belongings. Boss was discovered in the shower unresponsive with an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

Stephen and Allison appeared together in 2010 on SYTYCD as all-stars and married years later on December 10, 2013. Stephen adopted Allison’s daughter from a previous relationship, Weslie, and they went on to have two children of their own. The couple welcomed son Maddox in March 2016, and Allison gave birth to daughter Zaia in November 2019.
