Taking to Twitter, the former BBC Breakfast star wrote in view of his 783,000 followers: “What a right royal mess this is.
“It is sad to see any family in this situation.
“What would you do if you were William? Ignore it. Reach out. Make your own documentary. Get Harry in a headlock and have it out in private?”
Hundreds of users have since taken to the comments to share their thoughts on the situation.

Sadie penned: “If it was my sibling, I’d actually reach out because whether it’s all believable or not or you didn’t agree, I think if my sibling felt a certain way, I would definitely have a conversation.”
Mandy added: “The trouble is, when one party stays silent, the other party’s version of the story becomes the truth.
“I’ve seen this in my own life. William should find a balance of telling his side, without sounding defensive about it.”

While Seel wrote: “Not watched and won’t but keep seeing clips and headlines. It’s incredibly sad.
In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, Matt explained that he was initially unimpressed by the first three episodes, but “one line” from Meghan changed his opinion.
He said: “Initially in the first 10 minutes I was thinking, ‘Oh no, this is like a woe is me type doc’.
“Anyway, I stuck with it and then there was one line from Meghan that absolutely and completely changed my perception.”
The line he was referring to was when Meghan said during her candid interview: “The past six years of my life, books are written about our story from people who I don’t know.
“Doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?”
Matt continued: “I just thought, do you know what, in their environment and where everyone is going to have a view of Harry because he is a bit of an adopted son to everybody after what happened in the past, I sort of thought, ok, go with it.”
