Danielle Fishel recently recounted an awkward moment she experienced in a bathroom.
During the first part of their “Pod Meets World” podcast episode that aired on Thursday, June 25, Fishel, along with Will Friedle and Rider Strong, delved into the deeply personal knowledge they have about each other, amassed from working together so closely.
Following the triumphant success of their podcast, the trio, known for their roles in the 90s hit show Boy Meets World, embarked on a tour in 2023.
In this particular podcast episode, Fishel, 45, shared an embarrassing story that took place while she was touring with Friedle and Strong.

“There was one time, you know, when I travel, I’m a girl. I don’t always keep my same bathroom habits when I travel. Unfortunately, my body just changes,” Fishel recalled. “So there was one time I was like, ‘Guys, I don’t know what to do. It’s been a few days since I’ve been to the bathroom.’ I had to take some very strong laxatives,” she explained.
Friedle, 49, then interjected to add, “You had to pull over on the side of the road!”
Continuing her story, Fishel confessed, “I went to the bathroom in the most repulsive Porta Potty in a gas station.”

When Strong, 46, pointed out that there were “probably spiders” in the bathroom, Fishel noted the situation was so dire at that point that a thought like that was the least of her worries.
“You know what? I couldn’t have cared, I couldn’t have cared, it wouldn’t have mattered. It would have been at the side of the road or in the Porta Potty,” she said.
Will Friedle had no intention of saying “yes” to joining the Boy Meets World spinoff, Girl Meets World — especially after producer Michael Jacobs told him he couldn’t write for the show. The actress concluded, “And so we’ve learned a lot about each other.”
After her costars shared that a video exists that shows Fishel coming out of the gas station with her hands up in the air in triumph and looking excited, Fishel admitted, “I was thrilled, I felt like a new person.”
Earlier in the episode, Fishel also shared what she had discovered about her podcast cohost Friedle.
“So I did not have any idea how many times a day Will changes his underwear, But doing the podcast live tour, we got probably too comfortable with our travel habits. We got to talk regularly about what underwear Will was currently wearing,” she said. “He would then show us and then he’d say, ‘I’m going to go and change into these for the live show.’ So then we’d know what underwear he was wearing for the live show.”
