Nearly a month after the tragic death of her friend Jody Sharp, Danniella Westbrook has opened up on Instagram about her heartbreak.
Posting to her 116,000 followers last night, the former EastEnders star was extremely emotional as she remembered the mum of two.
Danniella named her daughter Jody after her, and fans were extremely sympathetic to her loss.
“Today, my friend Jody went home,” she wrote alongside. “Jody was an earth angel who has become a guardian angel.”
She continued: “Jody, I don’t have words to explain the love and gratitude I have for you since I was 15 years old.

“You were there for the birth of both my children. My daughter has your name, and we all had the gift of you for so long.”
Referencing Jody’s own children she said: “Your beautiful Ambs has done you proud, and you have, like you said, left your legacy in her and now baby Jude, too.
“I’m selfishly heartbroken that you have gone, but I have comfort knowing you are pain-free and that all of your wishes till the last we’re exactly how you wanted them.
“Thank you, Jody, for your love, your loyalty and for an open door, and open arms whenever anyone needed a hug and a cuppa . I love you, darling.. Nan night xx.”(sic)
@hardingphilomenaposted a touching comment saying: “So sorry for your sad loss. A lovely tribute to your friend, precious memories [heart emoji] R I P,” which she followed by a broken heart emoji.
Follower @shelly_edwards83 admitted that the post had moved her, writing: “Absolutely stunning words.
“Brought tears to my eyes. I’m so sorry for your loss fly high angel Jody.”(sic)
@joannemurnin simply commented: “So very sad beautiful lady god bless,”(sic) followed by a single tear emoji.
Celebrity medium Tracey Woolterton, posting as @psychictracey, opened her comment with two single tear emojis and wrote: “So sorry for your loss my lovely,”(sic) followed by praying hand emojis.
Meanwhile @crtcaroli71 chimed in: “Beautiful words @danniellawestbrook_73 I’m so sorry for your loss.”
Many others simply commented with broken heart or crying emojis.
Daniella first announced the death of her friend on her Instagram on May 6.
She wrote: “Just had the most devastating news, my heart is broken and I’m in complete shock.
“R.I.P Jody Sharp, I hope your heart finds peace. I love you.”
The sad news came as Danniella was recovering from complex facial reconstruction surgery.
