Demi Moore and Bruce Willis continue to share a strong bond even years after their marriage ended.

The actress, who was married to Willis from 1987 until 2000, took to Instagram on Thursday to wish her former husband a joyful 71st birthday.

“All you need is LOVE. Happy birthday, BW! ♥️,” Moore wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post, accompanying two photos of Willis with his granddaughter, Louetta.

She also highlighted these charming pictures on her Instagram Stories, adding the caption, “Generational birthday love! Happy birthday, BW!”

Moore and Willis, both now 63, were together for 13 years before their amicable split in 2000. During their marriage, they became parents to three daughters: Rumer—Louetta’s mother—Scout, and Tallulah.

The “Die Hard” actor’s wife of 16 years, Emma Heming, shared her own birthday tribute to Instagram, touching on Willis’ frontotemporal dementia diagnosis.

“Today we celebrate Bruce’s birthday. 💙,” the “Unexpected Journey” author, 47, began. “This journey with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) has opened my eyes to the realities so many families face. It’s what inspired me to create The Emma & Bruce Willis Fund to raise awareness of FTD, support research, and stand beside the caregivers who carry so much every day.”

Heming — who shares daughters Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11, with Willis — added that if anyone wants to honor her husband on his special day, they should “consider supporting the fund.”

In 2022, the legendary actor’s family announced he was retiring from acting following an aphasia diagnosis. Shortly after, his battle with dementia was revealed.

In January, Hemind opened up about her husband’s condition, explaining that Willis “never connected” the dots that he has dementia.

When asked by Cameron Rogers on her “Conversations with Cam” podcast if Willis is aware of his frontotemporal dementia (FTP) diagnosis, Heming confessed that he thinks his behavior is completely normal.

“I think that’s the blessing and the curse of this, Bruce never tapped in — he never connected the dots that he has this disease and I’m really happy about that, that he doesn’t know about it,” she shared.

However, Heming clarified that Willis is not in denial, but it is his brain’s way of helping him understand his new normal.

She added that the actor also knows who everyone around him is, as he has dementia and not Alzheimer’s disease.

As Heming put it, “You just learn how to adapt and meet them where they are at.”
