Denise Richards responded to husband Aaron Phypers‘ recent divorce filing with a series of shocking accusations against him on Wednesday.
Along with images of her alleged injuries, including a severely bruised eye, the 54-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum requested, and was granted, a temporary restraining order against Aaron, 52, after she claimed he’d been verbally and physically abusive on a number of different occasions.
In court documents obtained by TMZ on July 17, Denise alleged that Aaron threatened to take her life, and his own, if she ever called the cops on him. She also said he struck her in the eye in 2022 at his since-shuttered business after becoming “paranoid” and convincing himself that there were “listening devices” in his potted plants.
“I would like to see the cops take me away, I will blow everything up if they try,” he allegedly told her.
According to Denise, Aaron hit her with his palm as he told her she was a “f*cking b*tch.”
Denise also signaled red carpet photos from 2023 in which she was seen sporting a bruised arm.
Admitting to fearing for her life, Denise recalled another incident in which Aaron got violent after she suggested he not attend one of her work trips.
“Aaron grabbed me by the back of my head by my hair and slammed me into the ground and screamed, ‘You are not cancelling my flight, I am going with you and I do not trust you,’” she alleged.
Then, when Denise refused to give him her phone, Aaron, whom she married in 2018, stormed into her office, “aggressively marched towards me, [and] squeezed my arm extremely tight and aggressively.”
More details were shared by Us Weekly.
“Throughout our relationship, Aaron would frequently violently choke me, violently squeeze my head with both hands, tightly squeeze my arms, violently slap me in my face and head, aggressively slam my head into the bathroom towel rack, threaten to kill me, hold me down with his knee on my back to the point where I would have to plead with him to get off me so that he would not kill me and hack into my laptop and phone and download all of my text messages,” Denise wrote in her court documents. “Aaron regularly threatened to ‘break my jaw’ and would cry, beg me to stay, and promise to get help — none of which ever happened.”
“Aaron has caused me at least three concussions. Aaron has told me that he has left recording devices to record me while I was alone in hotel rooms and at my townhouses,” she continued.
Looking back on one specific instance, on July 4, Denise said Aaron, who she noted has at least eight guns, got in her face, screaming at her and degrading her with profanities, saying she was a “c*nt wh*re” and a “piece of sh*t” as he knocked her hat off her head.
“Later that day, Aaron chased me and grabbed both of my arms forcefully and pushed me and dragged me to the ground,” she went on. “I landed on the stairs, causing immense pain. Aaron stole my laptop and sent private messages he had stolen from my laptop without my permission.”
“Aaron threatened that I would ‘disappear’ if I called the police,” Denise added.
Another occurrence of Aaron’s alleged violence took place on May 21.
“While I was asleep and without my permission, Aaron went into my settings on my laptop and through my iCloud account synched my iMessages (texts) to my laptop and downloaded everything from my iCloud (included my private text messages) onto my laptop and then took pictures of my text messages (which were then on my laptop),” Denise recounted, sharing that he called her a “lying b*tch” after rummaging through the messages.
“Later, while I was on the toilet peeing, Aaron smashed me on the top of my head with the palm of his hand while screaming at me, ‘Give me your f***ing phone,’” she continued.
Also in Denise’s filing, she claimed to have moved out of their family home in 2023 and into a few townhouses.
“I am the only person on the lease to the three townhouses. Beginning on July 4, 2025, I have repeatedly told Aaron that he is not allowed at any of my townhouses anymore, yet he has repeatedly entered the townhouses unexpectedly,” she shared.
Denise’s temporary restraining order against Aaron will remain in place until August 8, when the two of them are due in court. Until then, he must stay 100 yards away from her, her home, her job, and her vehicle.
