Denise Richards and husband Aaron Phypers’ car was shot at during a road rage incident Monday in Los Angeles, but the couple is OK, Page Six can confirm.
Phypers was chauffeuring the actress, 51, to a film studio when the male driver behind them got irritated that they were having a hard time finding the place, TMZ reported Tuesday.
The outlet claimed that Phypers let the upset driver, who was allegedly shouting at them while trying to squeeze in front of their car, pass them.
That’s when the driver allegedly shot at Phypers and Richards’ vehicle, striking the back end on the driver’s side.
The outlet obtained a photo of a bullet hole in the couple’s gray Shelby.
TMZ reported no one was physically harmed but that Richards was “unnerved” and crying hysterically as she showed up to the set of her upcoming movie “A Walking Miracle.”
Her rep had no comment when contacted by Page Six.
According to TMZ, someone from production called 9-1-1. At this time, it’s unclear whether a report was filed.
The outlet noted that Phypers, 50, stayed with the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum as she “powered through” and “worked for 12 hours.”
After filming wrapped for the day, an off-duty cop reportedly escorted the rattled pair out of the parking lot and back to the freeway.
“A Walking Miracle” follows the recovery of a young man who was left in a coma after a car crash.
“Hurry up & wait…. It’s worth it. Fun group to work with,” Richards captioned two pictures from what looked like a production trailer just a few days ago. She tagged her makeup artist/hairdresser and added the hashtag, “#awalkingmiracle.”
Neither she nor Phypers have spoken publicly about the incident.
