Denise Richards has evolved from a typical child into a stunning icon over her years in the public eye. Navigating life after being a renowned sex symbol isn’t simple, a challenge Richards has candidly addressed. In June 2025, she decided to undergo comprehensive facial rejuvenation. This extensive makeover included a facelift, brow lift, lip lift, eyelid surgery, and fat grafting. She also opted for neck surgery, although achieving the same level of refinement there proved more challenging.
During a March 2026 interview with Allure, where she detailed her cosmetic procedures, the contrast between her neck and face was evident. Richards’ complexion appeared impeccable, reminiscent of her look from the 1990s, despite her turning 55 in February 2026. While her neck displayed significant smoothness, it didn’t quite align with the flawless appearance of her face. Interestingly, it was the aging of her neck that initially spurred Richards to explore plastic surgery.
“I was always apprehensive about a facelift, but I did want to address my neck — my late mom used to mention her ‘turkey neck,’ which I believe is hereditary,” she shared with Allure. Richards is satisfied with the outcome, and public opinion generally concurs that her facelift was successful, although some have noted issues with her neck. A Reddit user remarked, “It’s good work. My only complaint is that the neck lift makes it seem like she has a prominent Adam’s apple.” Ultimately, her satisfaction is what counts.
The facelift isn’t the only cosmetic procedure Richards has acknowledged. The former star of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” has undergone four breast surgeries, starting with her first at 19. In a 2010 essay for iVillage, she expressed, “I wish I had been confident enough in my body to avoid surgery. It’s a message I want to impart to my daughters,” referring to her children with Charlie Sheen.
Her breast implants were initially too large, necessitating several revisions. “I’m content with them now,” she told Us Weekly in 2011. Despite her extensive experience with plastic surgery, Richards only found the courage to alter her face in 2025. “A facelift isn’t something I could conceal,” she admitted in the Allure interview. She’s pleased with her decision, though managing the timing was complex.
Denise Richards had gone under the knife before
The facelift isn’t the only plastic surgery Denise Richards has admitted to getting. The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum has had work done on her breasts a whopping four times, having undergone the first boob job at just 19. “I wish that I was confident enough with my body to not have had surgery. That is something that I really want to encourage in my daughters,” she wrote in a 2010 essay for iVillage, referring to the kids she shares with Charlie Sheen.
Besides, Richards’ implants were too big, so she had to have them revised several times. “I’m happy with them now,” she told Us Weekly in 2011. Even though she had a lot of experience with plastic surgery, Richards never felt comfortable enough to change her face until 2025. “A facelift is not something that I could hide,” she said in the Allure interview. She’s glad she did, but the timing was tricky to navigate.
Just 10 days after the surgery, Richards split from her second husband, Aaron Phypers. If the crumbling of her marriage played a part in her decision to go under the knife is unclear, but Richards admits she nearly let it be the official reason for her glow up. “I think I could have gotten away with, ‘Oh, she looks so much better after her divorce,’” she said. Phypers disclosed her surgery to the world against her will, but ultimately she’s okay with it. “I don’t have any regrets. I really don’t,” she said.
