Denise Richards, known for her role on “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” has successfully secured a permanent restraining order against her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers. This decision comes after Richards, aged 54, presented her case in a trial last month, detailing allegations of abuse at the hands of Phypers, who is 53. She claimed that the abuse resulted in several concussions.

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled in favor of Richards, mandating that Phypers maintain a distance of at least 100 yards from both Richards and her workplace. This order, effective until November 7, 2030, also prohibits him from any form of communication with her and bars him from possessing firearms.
Us Weekly reported that the court’s decision was finalized on November 7. This ruling follows a temporary restraining order that Richards obtained in July after Phypers initiated divorce proceedings.
According to Us Weekly, the ruling was made on November 7, and it also banned Aaron from contacting Denise in any way, and from possessing firearms.
After Aaron filed for divorce in July, Denise was granted a temporary restraining order against him.
In her petition, she had written, “Aaron would frequently violently choke me, violently squeeze my head with both hands, tightly squeeze my arms, violently slap me in my face and head, aggressively slam my head into the bathroom towel rack, threaten to kill me, hold me down with his knee on my back to the point where I would have to plead with him to get off me so that he would not kill me and hack into my laptop and phone and download all of my text messages.”
Months later, during a trial that began on October 6, Denise went into detail about the alleged abuse she sustained, signaling a May incident in which Aaron allegedly hit her in a hotel room after she underwent surgery.
“[Aaron] smashed me on the top of my head with the palm of his hand while screaming at me repeatedly, ‘Give me your f*cking phone,” she stated. “I was disoriented from the surgery and was fearful he may seriously injure me, especially since I was recovering from a complex surgery, so I gave him my phone.”
Also during the trial, Aaron’s cousin, Kathleen McAllister, who previously worked for Aaron, testified against him, claiming she witnessed him getting physical with his then-wife in January 2022.
“I saw Aaron hit Denise and immediately she had a really bad black eye,” she testified. “I’m literally in shock now to this day about it.”
Meanwhile, Aaron denied claims of abuse, telling Us Weekly, “These accusations are completely false and deeply hurtful. Denise and I, like many couples, have faced our share of challenges, but any suggestion of abuse is categorically untrue.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15 premieres on Thursday, December 4, at 8/7c on Bravo.
