Denise Richards’ journey to rejuvenation has taken a significant step, as her plastic surgeon sheds light on the transformative procedures she recently underwent. The actress, known for her role on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, is reportedly thrilled with the results of her facelift, according to Beverly Hills surgeon Dr. Ben Talei.
In an interview preview with Inside Edition set to air on March 23, Dr. Talei shared that the 55-year-old Richards is “incredibly happy” with the outcome of her surgery. Echoing his patient’s satisfaction, Talei mentioned Richards’ heartfelt remark post-surgery: “I look like myself again.”
The esteemed surgeon detailed the procedures he performed to achieve Richards’ rejuvenated appearance. Her surgery included a comprehensive “face and neck lift,” along with a “temporal brow restoration.” This particular technique involves resetting the upper third of the face to restore its youthful position.
Richards, at 54, has been open about her cosmetic journey. Following a physically demanding stint on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, where she ruptured both breast implants, she shared her experience with breast revision surgery on Instagram. The actress expressed relief and happiness, noting she was “feeling pretty good” post-operation.

The plastic surgeon told the outlet that he also “recontoured the eyes” and did a “cupid corner lift, where we put an incision on the side of the mouth to help neutralize it, and make the side of the mouth look sexier and younger again.”
He added that it took four and a half hours to complete Richards’ facelift surgery.
“[Denise] felt like her face just didn’t look like her anymore,” Talei explained of the reason behind Richards’ transformation. “She’s got the energy of a 12-year-old — she felt like her look didn’t match the way she feels anymore.”

Talei’s breakdown of Richards’ procedure came two days after he and the actress made a joint post about her surgery, sharing dramatic before and after pictures of the actress from every angle.
The doctor called Richards “one of the most lovely and beautiful people to ever walk this earth,” via the Saturday, March 21, Instagram post. “It was an incredible pleasure and honor to be trusted with her restoration and more importantly, the preservation of her character and beauty.”
Talei explained that Richards “stunning, gorgeous eyes were restored rather than changed or just cleaned up” thanks to “so many little” adjustments that the “majority of surgeons in the world would gloss over.”

The surgeon added that he used various techniques, including “muscle modulation and SMAS optimization” to better lift Richards’ face.
“We are actually able to improve facial character while restoring the smile to be cleaner and more relaxed,” Talei continued. “I’m so grateful to Denise for being so open about the procedure. She’s been through so much this past year and her resilience is just astounding. She has a golden heart and her golden face is hers again.”
