Strictly's Dianne Buswell flooded with support as she issues emotional family update

Dianne Buswell has issued an emotional update about her father, Mark, on Instagram, labeling him a ‘superhero’ as he poses for a selfie whilst in a hospital bed. The Australian dancer has previously opened up about the struggles of being away from her family while her dad deals with his cancer journey.

The Strictly Come Dancing star has previously given fans a glimpse into her father’s battle with cancer. In 2023, she revealed that Mark underwent his third round of chemotherapy. In her latest Instagram post, she is seen posing with her beloved father as he sits in a hospital bed, both smiling towards the camera.

She added the simple caption: “My dad my super hero,” with a strong arm emoji and a red love heart. Many of her followers immediately flooded her with messages of support, with one fan typing: “Sending love and hugs Dianne to you and all your family, I hope Mark is home again very soon.” A second person also commented: “Sending healing hugs for a speedy recovery xx,” as another fan chimed in: “Oh no, what’s happened? Why is Mark back in hospital? I hope he’s okay. I love your family. They’re so sweet.”

Dianne has spent the last few weeks with her boyfriend, Joe Sugg, in Australia to see her family. At the start of the month, she shared a series of adorable images with her Instagram fans, writing, “Back with the fam.”

She has been keeping her followers updated with plenty of wholesome videos of her brothers and playing with her nephew and niece on the beach. In one adorable clip, Dianne can be seen walking into the clear water on a beach in Perth and soaking up the sunshine.

The dancer spent Christmas in the UK recently, with her family coming over from Australia to stay in her home which she shares with partner, Joe Sugg.

 

She wrote on Instagram during the festive season: “Finally, we are all together under one roof. Extremely lucky and grateful that I have my whole family with us for Christmas.” [sic]

On Christmas Day, Dianne also said: “hope you all had a wonderful day. I realize not everybody is lucky enough to have spent it with loved ones today, and I’m sending you my thoughts and love. it does make me extra grateful to be lucky enough to spend this quality time with my family. It’s something I’ll never take for granted x.” [sic]
