Erika Jayne has reportedly been demoted from full-time Housewife to a series “friend” ahead of the upcoming 15th season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

After telling Garcelle Beauvais, 58, she wished she were “more interesting” at the recently aired reunion for season 14, and shading her exit from the show as she appeared alongside Bozoma “Boz” Saint John, 48, on Watch What Happens Live, an insider has suggested that Erika, 53, just learned of her reduced role.

“Oh snap! She’s been demoted! Just received this anonymous email!” read an April 20 report from Bravo and Cocktails titled, “Interesting (Pun-Intended).”

“This West Coast housewife who recently wished her former co-star was ‘a bit more interesting’ found herself receiving a friend-of contract for the new season,” an insider alleged.

Erika joined the RHOBH cast in 2015 for season six and has appeared in a full-time position ever since. However, many felt that she didn’t show enough of her personal story on season 14, which has seemingly led producers to focus their attention elsewhere.

“Ohhhh boy, maybe she should have shown more than her home renovations,” one person wrote in a comment to the report, signaling Erika’s lackluster storyline in the recent episodes.

“I’ve had enough HGTV on Bravo; she can step aside,” another agreed.

A third person reacted to the story by repeating a comment Erika made about Garcelle.

“Won’t he do it!!!!” they declared, just as Erika did when asked about Garcelle’s decision to leave the show after five seasons in March.

Others expressed concern for Erika’s financial state as she prepares to head to trial in a $24 million case against her, which was filed by the trustee of her estranged husband, Thomas Girardi‘s bankruptcy.

“I’m curious how much a ‘friend of’ usually gets paid. [It] can’t be enough to pay off all of her debt,” someone stated.

There were even celebratory messages shared by viewers who were happy about the idea of seeing less of Erika on the show.

“This is fantastic. I was hoping she would receive walking papers, but this is a step in the right direction,” one commenter shared.

“About time!!!” another exclaimed.

No word yet on when filming will begin on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15.
