Faye Resnick is speaking out against rumors suggesting that she may have leaked the news of Kyle Richards‘ separation from Mauricio Umansky.

After Faye, 67, was seen shading Mauricio’s “single lifestyle” in an unaired moment from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, informing Kyle, 56, and Dorit Kemsley, 47, that he was trying to get her husband to go on a guys’ trip, she shut down the idea that she had spoken to press behind her good friend’s back.

“This is absolutely untrue,” Faye told OK! Magazine on March 6, adding that she talked to Kyle about the “made-up story” and that neither of them wanted to address the false claim.

Faye’s statement came after a source spoke to the outlet, alleging that there was speculation about Faye’s possible involvement in PEOPLE’s July 2023 report about Kyle and Mauricio’s split.

“When Kyle and Mauricio announced they were separating, the info did not initially come from them,” the insider had said. “It came from a source. On the show, Kyle discussed this in a confessional, saying she had no idea who had leaked their private info but that Mauricio thought he knew and she didn’t seem to want to believe it. There was speculation last year it may have been Faye Resnick and that’s definitely seeming quite plausible.”

Faye was “in Kyle’s inner circle and likely would have been privy to information regarding her personal life,” they added.

The source also signaled a recent RHOBH scene in which Faye and Kyle weren’t seen together.

“When Faye appeared at Jennifer Tilly’s caviar party on the current season, fans did not see Kyle interact with Faye whatsoever. In fact, [Kathy Hilton] was the one who brought Faye to the caviar party — and it’s a known fact that Kathy and Kyle have had their share of drama over the years and Kathy does associate with people Kyle doesn’t necessarily get along with,” they suggested. 

They even noted that while Faye and Kyle were still following one another on Instagram, they were potentially doing so to keep people from “speculating.”

“While no one will come out and confirm that this is 100 percent what happened, there’s definitely chatter around the neighborhood that it could be what occurred,” the insider concluded.

As for Faye’s claims about Mauricio, she was seen bringing up a guys’ trip in a flashback moment that will be featured on the March 11 episode of RHOBH.

After Kyle and Mauricio were seen discussing his kiss with another woman in Greece, with Kyle admitting to doubting his claims about the little amount of partying he did, Faye, Kyle, and Dorit were seen at a party with their castmates two weeks earlier.

“By the way, you do know that Mau is trying to get PK and my husband to go to…” Faye began of her fourth husband, Everett Jack, Jr.

“Saint-Tropez. I know,” Dorit interjected.

“So now he wants to drag my husband into his single lifestyle?” Faye asked as Kyle shook her head.
