One wedding, two dates?

Diplo had tongues wagging at the opulent wedding of actress Temi Otedola and Nigerian pop star Mr Eazi (nee Oluwatosin Ajibade) in Dubai last month when he appeared to switch up his female companions in one evening.

Otedola — whose father is billionaire Nigerian businessman Femi Otedola — and Eazi wed in three extravagant weddings costing around $10 million.

The first lavish event was an intimate civil ceremony in May at designer Karl Lagerfeld’s former home, Villa La Vigie in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin on the Côte d’Azur in France, with just the couple and two witnesses.

At the couple’s second celebration on July 5th in Dubai — described by one guest as, “basically Africa’s Forbes billionaires retreat” — Diplo showed up to the reception with a mystery brunette who clearly missed the dress code memo of “traditional red garb,” says a source.

“This was not traditional,” huffed our insider, telling us the anonymous woman came in, “a bright red spandex jumpsuit with a V-neck and low back.”

She didn’t last long though.

A source tells us that Diplo was later spotted at the after-party with an entirely different woman.

While the first woman’s relationship to the singer is unclear, our source says, “it seemed like he came with a date.”

“The woman later could have been a friend meeting him there for the party,” the source posited. “But the ‘spandex woman’ was gone. Everybody was talking about it the next day.”

A rep for Diplo tells us the woman at the after-party was indeed a friend: his Major Lazer bandmate America Foster.

Also at the event, which took place at the Otedola’s family mansion, was Africa’s wealthiest man, Aliko Dangote, Ghanaian singer-songwriter King Promise, entrepreneur Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, make-up artist Jackie Aina, techie Shola Akinlade, billionaire Abdul Samad Rabiu and musician King Sunny Ade who performed.

The couple also held a three-day affair in Iceland on Aug. 8, where John Legend sang for guests.

We hear the crooner was a surprise for Otedola, who had been told that he couldn’t make it to the event.

“When Eazi gave his speech and then introduced Legend, Temi was blown away,” says a spy, adding that the bride had her first dance with her dad to “Save Room,” followed by a bride and groom dance to Legend’s hit, “Tonight (Best You Ever Had).”

The reception took place in a custom-built glass structure set in a remote field surrounded by grazing cows and Icelandic horses, just outside Reykjavík.

The final day included a drive to Hvammsvik Hot Springs to allow guests a serene soak to recover from the festivities.

“It was the most beautiful place I have ever seen,” says a source. “I felt like I was on Mars.”
