Diplo is playfully revisiting his humorous claim about having dated both Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau, which recently went viral.

The DJ posted a selfie with Canada’s former Prime Minister on Monday, whimsically captioning it with a Perry song title, “The one that got away.”

In the image, both Diplo and Trudeau sport exaggerated expressions of surprise, adding to the humor.

The post entertained many of Diplo’s celebrity friends. Paris Hilton responded with a laughing emoji, while Ryan Tedder simply commented, “Damn.”

Diplo initially stirred the pot with this playful assertion—later confirmed as a joke—during his recent guest spot on the “Smart Girl Dumb Questions” podcast.

Diplo called the new couple “fire,” and recalled that he previously dated the “Dark Horse” singer in 2014.

He added, “I did date Trudeau, too.”

“That was a weird one though,” he continued. “Because I’m just … I’m not into politicians.”

The podcast’s official YouTube account commented that he was joking when a fan asked if Diplo was serious about dating Trudeau.

The “Teenage Dream” singer ranked him as her third best lover in 2017 while playing a game with James Corden (behind Orlando Bloom and John Mayer), which he poked fun of at the time.

Diplo responded on Twitter, writing, “I don’t even remember having sex.”

“I won the bronze in sex Olympics,” he shared in another joking post.

Meanwhile, Perry’s relationship with Trudeau shows no signs of slowing down.

They were first spotted on an intimate dinner date in Montreal in July, and they recently made their first public appearance together as a couple when they held hands in Paris while celebrating her 41st birthday.

A source told Page Six that Trudeau, 53, is head over heels for the pop star.

“He is crazy about her and thinks she is the perfect woman,” the source said. “They are simpatico on everything including politics, kids and French food.”
