Dog the Bounty Hunter’s 13-year-old step-grandson was found with a gunshot wound to the neck, it has been revealed. Initial reports indicate that the gun was accidentally fired by his father.

The bullet shot from the gun struck Anthony Zecca’s neck, above his sternum, but no exit wound was discovered on the teenager, according to a new police report.

When officers reached the flat in Naples, Florida, following the devastating accident at 8pm on Saturday night, Anthony had tragically already lost “large amounts of blood.”

The youngster had been accidentally shot, his devastated family confirmed in a statement. Dog the Bounty Hunter and his partner Francie spoke out after the tragedy, which they described as an “incomprehensible tragic accident” in a heartbreaking statement.

Police have now confirmed that first responders administered CPR to the teen but were unable to save Anthony.

The firearm used in the shooting was found in the flat on the kitchen island, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office revealed in the report.

Sources have indicated that “this is an active criminal investigation.”

Collier County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a person had been shot dead in the incident, but added that no one had been arrested in the aftermath of the deadly shooting.

Dog, whose real name is Duane Chapman, and his family issued a heartbreaking statement, describing the incident as an “incomprehensible accident.

“We are grieving as a family over this incomprehensible tragic accident and would ask for continued prayers as we grieve the loss of our beloved grandson, Anthony,” the family said in an initial statement to TMZ.

Dog, 72, and his wife, Francie, wed in 2021 after the deaths of each other’s partners. The pair said they formed a bond over their mutual grief during their relationship.

Francie’s son Gregory – Anthony’s dad – is also part of Dog’s bounty hunting crew, working alongside Dog and his daughter, Lyssa.
