Dolores Catania revealed how Kate Chastain broke the rules on The Traitors and secretly communicated with outsiders when cameras went down as she also reacted to winning season 3! The Real Housewives of New Jersey star said Kate ruined the experience for all future castmates on the show after producers uncovered what she was doing.

On the gameshow set in a castle in Scotland, contestants are quarantined at night in separate bedrooms, and they are unable to speak to anyone on the outside. They’re also given only a limited amount of time on their phones each week.

However, in a past season, Kate found a way to secretly message outsiders using her TV. After producers discovered what she was doing, they took away the entire cast’s remote control privileges.

“I heard Kate Chastain learned how to talk to her friends with the clicker and so they took it away from everyone,” said Dolores at a live event for Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast. “You could go on YouTube with the remote.”

Dolores, who was crowned the winner of The Traitors season 3, the first Bravo star to win, speculated that Kate accessed “email” via YouTube.

“Kate Chastain is so smart,” she added. “She is so smart and brilliant and funny.” But Dolores said this ruined the experience for all future contestants on The Traitors since now “no one gets a remote.”

As for her own season, Dolores shaded the ‘traitors’ for killing off her fellow Bravo stars.

“The Bravo people are not gamers. I don’t know why [the other contestants] felt the need to kill all my friends off,” she stated. “They should have left them there because they had no idea what they were doing. And Chanel [Ayan] is mad. She’s so mad. Dorinda [Medley] is so mad.”

“I feel sorry for those Traitors when they match up with the Housewives at the reunion,” she went on. “They’re in trouble.”

In a February episode of the WWHL: After Show, Dolores compared the ‘round-table’ meetings on Traitors to the RHONJ reunions.

“There’s nothing more stressful than a Housewife reunion, but [Traitors is] a very close second, and the reason for that is you have to now make a decision to vote somebody out that you got close with or you didn’t, somebody you spent the whole day with,” she said. “It’s hard because you know that person’s gonna be hurt on their way out the door.”

Dolores also reacted to being crowned the winner of The Traitors season 3 as she acknowledged being the first Bravo “housewife” to win.

In her interview, she reminded fans: “Guys, remember it’s always the last vote that counts.”
