During a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Dorinda Medley recounted a humorous yet memorable incident involving her late husband, Richard Medley. Surrounded by her fellow Traitors castmates—Maura Higgins, Colton Underwood, “Boston” Rob Mariano, and Dylan Efron—she shared a tale that left the audience amused.

The revelation came about as the group was presented with the statement, “I once poured a plate of spaghetti on my partner’s head,” and tasked with guessing who among them had lived this experience. To everyone’s surprise, the 61-year-old former star of The Real Housewives of New York City admitted it was her. She proceeded to explain the amusing circumstances that led to the spaghetti incident.
Dorinda recounted that after Richard returned home, she was eager to share a meal she had meticulously prepared. However, when he began to tease her about the dish, she reached her limit. “We had guests over, which made it even worse,” she confessed. “I said, ‘That’s fine.’ But as he continued his playful jabs, I took the plate and, instead of serving it, placed it right over his head.” This anecdote was shared with fans via a clip on Facebook on January 29.
Richard Medley, who passed away at age 60 in November 2011, left a significant mark on Dorinda’s life. The couple had been married for four years, and she continues to honor his memory with heartfelt tributes, including a touching post commemorating what would have been his 70th birthday in October 2021.

“He has been gone from us for 10 years and there is rarely a day that passes that I don’t think of him,” she wrote at the time. “Grief and loss start off so overwhelming and then as time passes, it’s not that you ‘get over it’ as people say, you just grow bigger around it … It’s always there, waiting to remind you.”
“I miss waking up to you, knowing I have this beautiful partner by my side, I miss having breakfast together, our long walks and talking through life. I miss our family dynamic and all the joy and laughter we experienced,” she continued. “I miss my best friend … I just miss you.”
