Dorit Kemsley believes Kathy Hilton‘s cluelessness is all an act.

Following Tuesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which saw Kathy, 65, standing in the way of models during Sutton Stracke‘s fashion show, Dorit, 48, described her co-star as “clever” as Sutton, 53, revealed if she was upset at her castmate and Kathy explained what led to the awkward moment.

“I think Kathy is generally unaware of what else is going on around her, and she’s living in her own world,” Bozoma “Boz” Saint John, 48, suspected on the March 4 episode of the RHOBH: After Show.

But Dorit wasn’t convinced, replying, “I think that’s what she wants people to think.”

“So you think she did that on purpose?” Boz asked.

“I just think, overall, Kathy is not an oblivious person. Not at all. She’s very shrewd; she’s very clever,” Dorit explained. 

Looking back on the same moment, Kyle Richards, 56, laughed, “There she goes. There’s my sister … I don’t know what to tell you. I can’t control this woman.”

According to Dorit, Kathy had gone backstage to make a joke with Sutton that involved her.

“She was going back to do a practical joke to tell Sutton that Dorit wanted to make the announcements for the fashion show cuz she’s the fashionista, which I would’ve believed because I remember her thinking she saved my fashion show,” Kyle confirmed. 

Although Kathy made quite the spectacle during Sutton’s event, Sutton told Garcelle Beauvais, 58, she wasn’t upset with their co-star.

“I wasn’t mad at her at all. It was more like, ‘Why are you back here?’” she noted.

Meanwhile, in her own segment, Kathy explained that she’d been distracted by Erika Jayne‘s mother after arriving late to the event.

“When I came into the building, they had a little red carpet. And the worst thing in the world is when someone is introducing you to somebody — it was Erika’s mother and I’d never met her before — and you’re saying, ‘Hi,’ and then a press person come over and says, ‘You have to come here and take the pictures quickly because they’re leaving,’” she shared.

After being rushed through the red carpet line, Kathy recalled going backstage to check on Sutton, assuming that the fashion show would get off to a late start as many do.

“[I] thought we’d have a few minutes. So as I’m walking out, Erika’s mother was sitting right there, and so I said, ‘Hi, how are you,’ and treated her with respect,” Kathy revealed. “[Then] the show started, and somebody said, ‘Sit down, sit down,’ so I was shocked that they came out so quick.”

As for Erika, 53, she was upset with her mom’s role in the ordeal.

“The Kathy thing is just Kathy being Kathy, but I was mad at my mom. I’m very critical of my mom a lot, but that … I give shows. My mom’s been to a million shows. Don’t f*ck with people’s shows,” she stated.

Also on the RHOBH: After Show, Jennifer Tilly, 66, reacted to people clamoring to get close to Kathy.

“I find this narrative hysterical that Kathy’s the big boss of Beverly Hills and everybody, like, genuflects in front of Kathy cuz they want to get invited to her parties,” she admitted.
