Reflecting on her choice to attend the ceremony amid tensions with Kyle Richards, Dorit, 49, shared her perspective on why she was included and how it felt when her co-stars left her out. She recounted how Kyle mentioned that her estranged husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley, 58, was invited and suggested Dorit’s presence held significance for her.
“I wasn’t even sure PK would attend since he got the invite so late,” Dorit explained during the April 16 episode of the RHOBH: After Show. “Everyone thought I wouldn’t dare show up. Maybe they invited PK hoping I’d stay away. But I walked in solo, defying their expectations, and [Kathy Hilton] approached me, saying, ‘You truly are pure class.’”
Despite her bold entrance at Alexia and Jake’s wedding, Dorit revealed she was largely overlooked by both her co-stars and PK.
After showing up to Alexia and Jake’s nuptials, Dorit said she was ignored by her castmates and PK.
“These motherf*ckers, not one of them — [Erika Jayne], [Sutton Stracke], and PK—acknowledged my presence. Not one,” she stated.
According to Dorit, she believes Kyle invited her to keep up with the public image she portrayed.
“Because how is she gonna explain not inviting me if she’s saying she wants to move forward, if she’s playing this publicly, she’s saying, ‘I want to move forward, I’m so glad it’s behind us?’” Dorit wondered. “That’s the image that she’s portraying.”
While they were in the midst of a messy feud after their heated encounter in Italy, Kyle texted Dorit, “I hope you’ll be at the wedding,” amid her book launch, so she went.
And while Dorit suggested that not one of her castmates acknowledged her, she clarified that Kyle did come up to her at the wedding.
“She’s the only one. She did. She came up to me, and she gave me a kiss, and she said, you know, ‘Thank you for coming,’” Dorit recalled.
Meanwhile, Kyle admitted that she didn’t have reservations about inviting both Dorit and PK because she knew it was important to her own estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, 55.
“To me, it was, you know, we invite both, and whoever’s not comfortable, you know, they’re not gonna come. And he’s one of Mau’s best friends, and Mau wants his close friends there. And, you know, lo and behold, they both showed up,” she revealed. “I don’t believe they ever spoke.”
Kyle then said that Dorit “never spoke to us either,” detailing an awkward moment between Dorit and Erika, 54.
“At one point, I was standing there, and I saw Erika and Dorit at the bar … but they were just invisible to each other, and it was a really weird moment,” she admitted.
“She didn’t speak to us,” Erika confirmed. “[But] it was a beautiful night … This is being adults and showing up for people when maybe everything isn’t so comfortable. And you do that for your friends.”
After Sutton revealed that “PK spoke to [her], but Dorit did not,” Kyle said she was appreciative of Dorit’s decision to show up.
“In spite of everything we’re going through after Italy, I did appreciate her showing up to Alexia’s wedding. That actually gave me hope that, like, that’s the Dorit that I know. And I know that she cares about my daughters like I care about her children. And my daughters, you know, really care about her. She’s always been sweet with them. I was happy that she showed up. It meant something to me, even if we weren’t really talking that night,” she explained.
Then, in closing, Kyle offered an update on her daughter and son-in-law.
“Alexia and Jake are doing great. They are settling into married life,” she shared.
The three-part Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15 reunion begins airing on Thursday, April 23, at 8/7c on Bravo.
