In the latest installment of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, the spotlight shifts to Britani following a dramatic incident involving Meredith on a flight. As her fellow housewives rally in support, Britani finds herself grappling with a lack of affection from Jared, her intermittent love interest.

Amidst personal trials, Bronwyn and Lisa are each dealing with shifts in their relationships with their husbands. A potential turning point comes when Mary extends an invitation to her church, where an impactful sermon could provide the guidance they all seek.

To lift Britani’s spirits, Whitney takes the initiative to host a surprise potluck. After the tense exchange between Britani and Meredith, it’s clear the group could use a dose of lighthearted fun. Angie, ever the instigator, suggests they don some extravagant hairstyles to humorously reference her previous quip about high body counts. The playful atmosphere and hair antics come to a halt upon Britani’s arrival, signaling the start of the evening’s main event.

Speaking of love, Bronwyn and Lisa are navigating changes with their husbands.  But when Mary invites them to her church,  a powerful sermon may guide the group to exactly what they need.

In an effort to cheer Britani up, Whitney has decided to host a surprise potluck.  After everything that went down between Britani and Meredith, this group could stand a little fun.  And Angie knows just what to do: she preps the ladies (minus Mary) with some high body count hair to poke fun at the original comment made by Angie.  The teasing and hair spraying pauses when Britani arrives.

She is completely shocked by the “Britani Tribute Band” and is thrilled to finally have a day that is all about her-and she didn’t even need to make a toast!  Bronwyn has set up a mobile teddy bear station in an effort to make amends for tossing Uni overboard.

The ladies record messages to go inside each stuffy for Britani (ala Jared), but Mary bows out.  She is still keeping Britani at arms length after she called Mary “the least Christ-like person” she has ever met.  But you know what Meredith and Lisa did must’ve been pretty bad if Mary is there to support HER…

Bronwyn shares that Meredith thinks she was having a calm conversation with Lisa and Britani simply overheard. According to Meredith, she did nothing to Britani.  But the women are aghast.  Heather explains that Lisa was re-writing history to try and make it the narrative Lisa wants to believe. Heather refuses to ride for them if they do not acknowledge what they did was wrong.  She suggests the whole group remind Lisa and Meredith that they need to take accountability.

Whitney observes that Bronwyn is not wearing her wedding ring.  Bronwyn opens up about life after the Tweet came out. She kicked Todd out of the house for a few days once she saw the Tweet of Todd perusing photos of another woman during a flight. Todd tried to gaslight Bronwyn and she is embarrassed by the secrecy surrounding the whole situation.

She goes on to say that there is currently no arrangement of any kind in their marriage, but she would be willing to talk about it with him if it meant evolving with him.  Hello, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives?

Mary’s church has been in her family for 60 years and it is finally getting reopened after two long years of renovations.  Robert Jr. and Mary tour the space and he talks about AA meetings.  God has helped Robert Jr. try to navigate his journey and he admits that all of his friends from treatment have already relapsed.

Mary understands the strength of prayer and God and she is hoping that by opening the doors to the friend group, they can heal and rebuild relationships.

Over a quick bite, Lisa and John get real about their marriage.  Lisa tells John he irritated her, but John wonders if it’s because Lisa is used to controlling the whole conversation. Lisa realizes that lately in the marriage she feels invisible and John wonders if he should just be quiet. Lisa does not feel validated in her feelings and it’s triggering to her.

John points out that Lisa doesn’t listen and he scoffs when Lisa calls herself a great listener. Lisa worries about not being on the same page, but John feels like Lisa just wants everyone on HER page. She cuts him off when he tries to explain his side of things.

A big part of the problem with their relationship is that they are too ingrained with business.  They have almost nothing else to talk about BUT business, according to John. He admits that he doesn’t even hug Lisa as much and he states they have a “communication breakdown.”

Britani meets with Jared…ya know, the guy she was supposed to stay away from for 30 days.  They embrace for far too long and Britani is hopeful because he actually reached out to HER.  Jared does not like how Britani was apparently flirting the whole yacht trip (Whitney’s husband gave him that 411), but Britani reminds Jared that they are on a break.  She feels confused/frustrated by his actions, especially since she had the “most traumatic experience” of her life and he comes in with this.

Jared claims that Britani “runs” every five seconds and that he is looking for someone stable.  Jared wonders how the Jared-less 30 day fast is going for Britani and he does not run after her as she walks away from him. She cries that she is tired of the mind games, leaving Jared in the woods.

Eventually, he makes his way up to her and calls Britani’s question of “what are we doing” unfair.  So much for a straight answer about their relationship. Jared tells Britani in order to be her boyfriend, she needs to be stable for more than five minutes. Ouch.

Todd is finally home and the tension in the house is thick. Bronwyn gives herself a bit of pep talk before confronting Todd about the issues at hand. She refuses to play happy family with Todd and she is uncomfortable with what was said about him on Twitter.  She shares how she feels not enough because in the past, Todd kept something from her which made her spiral.

Bronwyn explains she is open to whatever would make Todd happy and offers up an arrangement in order to evolve with him. After 11 years of marriage, Todd reminds Bronwyn that they’ve always been able to talk through issues.  He admits he was wrong and he is happy being with Bronwyn.

She wants Todd to figure out what works for his sex life and admits that she talked about their sex life with Whitney.  Todd is furious and wonders why she would share that with a group of untrustworthy friends. Bronwyn feels like she can’t even confide in her friends, but Todd is more focused on moving forward and brushing this under the rug.

Mary is thrilled to be back in her church to speak to the congregation.  However, she is sad that Robert Jr. won’t be there to witness it all, as he was high and she wants to protect him.  Mary explains that today was not a good day for him.

Whitney is shocked that she is invited back to Mary’s church, but is so excited to see Mary in her element. Heather is unsure if Lisa and Meredith will show and Whitney states that if they walk into church it will be like “two whores burning.”

Much to everyone’s shock, Lisa and Meredith roll up together. Meredith is in her boot due to a sprained toe (and no, it’s not from kicking Britani). Meredith explains that she has been Mary’s biggest supporter for years, so despite all the drama, she is there for Mary. Period.

During the mass, there is dancing, there is singing, and there is Mary, with her gold mic and bedazzled bible.  She gets emotional during her sermon and Angie looks on like the proud friend that she is. Mary believes that she is a messenger for God and she explains how she was not even invited to her mother’s funeral.

As Mary speaks, many of Bronwyn’s worries become alleviated.  Mary calls out the ladies, one by one, reminding them that God will give whatever each woman needs during this season in life. Mary is magical during this spiritual experience, but of course Lisa is dying of heat stroke. Pretty on brand. In the end, Mary hopes that this group received peace and hope…
