Gina Kirschenheiter’s partner, Travis Mullen, is seeking temporary sole custody of the three children he shares with his former spouse, Meghan Mullen.

After a previous bid for emergency sole custody was denied, Travis, 40, who appears on The Real Housewives of Orange County alongside Gina, 41, aims to revoke Meghan’s joint legal and physical custody rights, which she has held since November 2021. He seeks to restrict her to supervised visits with their daughters, Presley and Bennett, and son, Joseph.

“I’ve contacted local law enforcement to enforce the current order, but they have been unhelpful. I’m worried about [the son’s] well-being and feel the ‘system’ has utterly failed him,” Travis stated in court documents filed on October 29, as reported by Us Weekly. “This conduct by [Meghan] has persisted for over a year and I feel there’s no one advocating [for my son]. I urgently need the court’s intervention to ensure [my son’s] needs are met and to preserve our close and loving relationship.”

Travis alleges that Meghan has denied him access to one of their children since September 29 and has failed to ensure their attendance at school, prompting school officials to consider reporting the matter to the District Attorney.

According to Travis, Meghan has not let him see one of their children since September 29, and has also not been bringing them to school, which has led school officials to threaten to report the issue to the District Attorney.

Meanwhile, in her own court documents, filed on October 30, Meghan claimed their son doesn’t want to spend time with him and insisted she’s in touch with the child’s school about their missed days.

“Travis continues to misuse the court process to get his way,” she wrote. “His [court] filings appear intended to punish and control me, not to protect the children. Travis is using the family court system as a tool of coercive control and retaliation. In addition to litigation abuse.”

Meghan then claimed Travis refuses to allow their children to call her when they are with him and signaled RHOC.

“The children are exposed to comments … about their private lives due to the public nature of Travis’ media appearances,” she alleged.

Then, in a second filing, Travis fired back, stating that he was “deeply concerned” about their child and denying her claims against him, including her suggestion that he tampered with her social media accounts and that their child is afraid of him.

“If [Meghan] really believed any of our children were afraid of me, why hasn’t she sought emergency orders?” Travis asked. “Why does she allow our two older children to come stay with me during my custodial time? The fact is that none of [Meghan’s] allegations are true.”

He also said he had not stopped their children from calling Meghan.

“This is another false allegation offered by [Meghan]. It was actually [Meghan] that would deny me phone contact with the children. Further, I have never punished the children for wanting to talk to their mother, and never said that they could not call their mom,” he stated.

Following Travis’ initial request for sole custody in March, he and Meghan agreed to have a child custody evaluator assess their situation and submit their findings to the court.
