Richards criticized Dorit, 49, for her habitual tardiness, as fellow cast members rallied around her during her tumultuous separation from Paul “PK” Kemsley, 58. At the same time, Kyle accused Amanda, 41, of leveraging her new book’s release to coincide with the airing of season 15, implying it was a strategic move.

“It felt very opportunistic, and that was off-putting,” Kyle, 57, expressed during the March 12 episode of the RHOBH: After Show.

In response, Amanda shared her perspective, revealing that she initially drafted the book while expecting her children, Canaan and Zion. She delayed its completion to focus on her family responsibilities.

Meanwhile, Amanda explained herself, noting that after first drafting the publication while pregnant with Canaan and Zion, she put off finishing it due to her familial duties.

“Next thing I know, I have four children and two toddlers, and I just kept putting it off. My team would often say to me, ‘The world needs the book,’ or ‘People are ready for the book,’ or ‘Your audience is asking for the book,’ because my audience, my people, have known about this since I outlined it,” she shared.

Amanda then said that the RHOBH cast played a role in her decision to get back to it.

“Had the group not brought it up, it may have taken me longer. Maybe a couple more years,” she noted. “But it’s so good. It starts with me leaving the cult, driving down A1A, Beach Boulevard, running away, betraying everything, abandoning everything besides myself, and then we get to tell my story.”

“It’s a relationship with God book. Like how my first book is a relationship with money book,” she added.

During another segment of the After Show, Kyle blasted Dorit for disregarding the cast’s time.

“I really don’t think that she cares that we’re waiting. When you’re leaving people an hour and a half, two hours, you don’t give a sh*t about someone else’s time,” she stated. “I don’t know what’s worse: Just owning it and saying I’m late, too bad, or coming up with a different excuse every time.”

“This isn’t a California standard L.A. girl that’s 20 minutes late. This is a kind of lateness I’ve never seen … this is like hours every time we’re together,” Amanda agreed.

But according to Dorit, it wasn’t her fault that she was late.

“My luggage rolled in about 10 minutes before I was supposed to be downstairs,” she revealed. “So everybody had four hours to freshen up, unpack, get ready. I wanted to look good. I wanted to feel good.”

Although Kyle was annoyed, Rachel Zoe, 54, pointed out that Dorit was “not hurting anybody,” and Bozoma Saint John, 49, said Kyle should “relax” since they were “in Italy in a villa.”

Kathy Hilton, 67, also said that she didn’t like to nitpick.

“I’m not gonna make a big deal that this person came three hours late. If they could be there, they would. The only time I got annoyed was when I had been home, and I wanted to go shopping, and I missed the car in Sedona, and so the next car, we had to wait for Dorit, and I didn’t really get to shop,” she shared.

Also on the show, Jennifer Tilly, 67, suspected that Dorit’s lateness was the result of her personal turmoil.

“A lot of times when people are very late, it’s indicative of a breakdown in their personal life, what she’s going through, and you have to give people grace,” she advised.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15 airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
