Lala Kent recently disclosed that her former partner, Randall Emmett, has issued a “legal letter” concerning her new podcast venture with his ex-wife, Ambyr Childers. The Vanderpump Rules personality also shared insights about who she misses working with the most and reflected on her once “toxic” friendship with Tom Sandoval.

The latest season of Vanderpump Rules is the first to air without its former cast members, who were dismissed in 2024. Despite her frequent clashes with Tom Sandoval, a notable twist in the previous season was her unexpected rift with Katie Maloney.

During an Amazon Live session, Lala discussed her latest legal entanglement with Randall, who is the father of her child.

“Ambyr is in town, and for those who aren’t aware, we share an ex,” Lala explained, as reported by @vanderpodrecaps on Instagram. “Our kids are siblings, and she is one of my closest friends. She traveled from Montana to join me, and we recorded the first two episodes of our new podcast, An Unlikely Affair.”

“There was a moment where she and I talked on Untraditionally Lala, which is just my podcast, about how [Randall] would react to she and I starting a podcast together,” Lala went on. “I will say, I did get a legal letter from him.”

Lala called the letter “very cute.”

“I’d like to know who wrote it,” she said. “It gave me a good chuckle. So anyway, we recorded the first two episodes yesterday. The first episode is going to air on Thursday. I’m so excited for you guys to hear it.”

On a different Amazon Live, Lala was asked who she misses filming with the most on Pump Rules.

“I miss filming with the entire cast. All of them,” she answered. “It was such a special group of people. I had a wonderful time filming with all of them because not only did they know how to make a good show — that was just like the cherry on top — our friendships and just the dynamic between everybody, like my back and forth with Tom [Sandoval] and how … there was love there, but me and Tom Sandoval could not stand each other. It was like we were always at each other’s throats. And it became this like back and forth cat and mouse that I really started to enjoy. Is that like the most toxic thing you’ve ever heard?”

“And then filming with people like Katie … and her being, you know, my best friend, it didn’t feel like we were making a show,” she continued. “It just felt like we were hanging out [and] there happens to be a camera … Everything that the show would show, it was like our everyday. Even when cameras were down, the back and forth and the dynamics were so authentic. I miss it so much.”
