Eamonn Holmes has wowed fans with a new picture of him alongside his granddaughters. He shared a lovely photo on Instagram with granddaughters Emilia and Isabella as the family spent some together.

The GB News presenter captioned the post: “Friday Playgroup with Emilia and Isabella.”

The 64-year-old, who has been open in recent years about his ongoing health woes was inundated with messages, as social media users commented on how well the broadcaster looks despite his ongoing struggles.

One fan said: “You look really well, still got your good looks, now a silver fox, grandchildren are lovely.”

Another wrote: “Looking well E,” and a third echoed: “Gorgeous girls you’re looking well Eamonn.”

“What a gorgeous picture. You look like a very proud Grandad xx,” another person added.

Eamonn has had a tough few years with his health. He’s been very open about his pain and even needed a mobility scooter.

He had to have an operation on his back in 2022 because of “chronic pain”. Eamonn also talked about how much better he felt after undergoing hip replacement surgery in 2016.

He waited 30 years for the operation but told The Telegraph it was the best thing he did.

He also underwent an operation to help cope with the terrible pain in his hip, leg, and back that he had for over 20 years.

In 2021, Eamonn told his fans: “Those of you who follow me on social media will know [that] about a month ago I did something to my back. I don’t know how I did it getting into the car, getting out of a car, getting out of bed, whatever. I’ve got an MRI scan, but the trouble is, everything closes for Easter, I haven’t got it analysed yet, but what I do know is, I can’t sleep at night.”

He later found out that he had three slipped discs and needed an operation on his spine in September 2022. But this surgery didn’t make things better.

When he came back to his show on GB News, Breakfast with Eamonn and Isabel, after being away for a few months, he said to the viewers: “Basically, I can’t walk. I can do everything… everything above here [gesturing to his waist] works, but it’s the legs.”

Eamonn has talked about using a mobility scooter to get around. He has said before that he wishes he didn’t need it, but without it, he wouldn’t be able to move around at all.
