The past few years have certainly not been easy for Elizabeth Chambers. But amidst everything, the mother, businesswoman, and TV personality is choosing to move on. As many would know, Chambers filed for divorce from (former) actor Armie Hammer back in 2020.
Since then, Chambers had also been through a lot. For starters, she got caught in a custody battle with Hammer over their two children after the split. And then, Hammer famously became the subject of much controversy, so much so that he was shunned by Hollywood. After everything that’s happened, Chambers is now at peace as she chooses to focus on herself and her children.
Is Elizabeth Chambers Still Married To Armie Hammer?
Long before allegations against Hammer left everyone in utter shock, Chambers made the decision to split from her husband after being married for 10 years. The filing revealed that they were ending their marriage due to irreconcilable differences, although it seemed that the relationship between the two remained amicable at that time.
Since news of their divorce broke, however, reports also surfaced that Chambers opted to split from Hammer following the actor’s decision to return to the U.S. while his family remained in the Cayman Islands where they had been quarantining.
Up until then, the former couple had been attending therapy, but when Hammer decided to leave Chambers and their kids, sources told Vanity Fair that she had had it. The final straw was said to be a raunchy text message that Hammer mistakenly sent to Chambers.
What Does Elizabeth Chambers Think Of Armie Hammer Today?
Especially after they announced their split, Chambers couldn’t have been more relieved to be staying in the Cayman Islands instead of the U.S. In the midst of that (and COVID), the island became a “beautiful, safe cocoon” where her children could be as far away from prying eyes as possible.
During a recent interview with Elle, Chambers also said she loved the place because “paparazzi are illegal there,” thereby giving them a lot more peace and quiet.
The islands also proved to be the right place for Chambers and Armie Hammer to co-parent after their divorce. In the aftermath of his scandal, Hammer eventually made his way back to the Cayman Islands where he started to make a living as a timeshares salesman.
The (former) actor has also seemingly been on the road to recovery, having spent almost six months in a rehab facility (known for treating alcohol, sex, and drug issues) in Florida in 2021.

Since then, Chambers has also spent some time with Hammer, although things have remained non-romantic between the former couple. Nonetheless, Chambers has voiced her support for her ex’s recovery.
“All I’ve ever wanted is for him to be sober, healthy, and happy. And he is that. He’s really present when he’s with the kids, and that’s all I can hope for,” she said. “All you want is for your children to have two solid parents, right?”
At the same time, Chambers has also revealed that she has also taken her children to see family-separation therapists to help them cope with their new family situation. She is doing everything possible to ensure that her kids wouldn’t be left traumatized by the events of recent years.
What Has Elizabeth Chambers Been Doing Since Her Divorce From Armie Hammer?
Since their divorce, Chambers has been mostly busy with her children and business. The successful entrepreneur is behind the highly successful Bird bakery, which serves everything from cookies to cupcakes, to pies, and even quiches.
After relocating to the Caymans, for the time being, Chambers has continued to run Bird remotely. In 2021, the bakery also opened its third location in Denver. And now, Chambers plans to expand once more as she looks for a possible fourth location for Bird overseas.
A report from Forbes reveals that Chambers eventually opted to open a Bird bakery in the Grand Cayman, near the island’s popular Seven Mile Beach.
Aside from this, Chambers has also become inspired to launch her first cookbook. The inspiration came to her as she was browsing through her family’s recipe books. In addition, Chambers also teased an upcoming TV project, the first one she’s been involved in since serving as a judge on Food Network’s Chopped Sweets.
In the meantime, it also seems that Chambers has found love again as she revealed that she’s dating a European who works as a physical therapist in the Cayman Islands. The two have already been together for over a year and Chambers says he is “a really understanding person.”
And while they are “so in love,” Chambers has also said that they’ve continued to act “completely platonic” whenever they’re around her children. “I don’t think it’s in their best interest to see their mom dating someone while they’re still processing divorce,” she added. It is also unclear if the unidentified man has already met Hammer.
At some point, Chambers also plans to move back to Los Angeles with her children where everyone can get a fresh start. But she’s not waiting for that move. Chambers is living her best life already.
