Ellie Goulding, 39, Welcomes a Healthy Baby Girl with Partner Beau Minniear, 28

Ellie Goulding has joyfully announced the arrival of her second child, a baby girl, marking her first child with boyfriend Beau Minniear.

The 39-year-old singer, who is already a mother to four-year-old son Arthur from her previous marriage to Caspar Jopling, shared the delightful news on Instagram with a heartwarming photo.

In her announcement, Goulding expressed, “On Friday, I gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl. We are completely smitten with her.”

Reflecting on the timing, she added, “It was especially meaningful to celebrate International Women’s Day with her and the incredible team of women at St Mary’s, who provided us with exceptional care and compassion.”

Goulding also expressed her admiration for midwives, stating, “I will always be in awe of them. This new addition to my family brings immense joy, particularly as Arthur is thrilled to become a big brother to this little angel.”

She also shared a photo of a cake decorated with the words ‘welcome baby sister’.

Ellie was treated to a baby shower by her celebrity pals in London in January. 

The Burn hitmaker partied at a 1970s themed bash inspired by Apple TV’s retro comedy Palm Royale.

Ellie looked stunning in a pink Versace minidress which hugged her blossoming bump along with a sash, in a nod to high street baker Greggs which read: ‘Preggs’.

The entertainment was courtesy of boyband Blue, minus Lee Ryan, with Ellie joining Duncan James, Simon Webb and Anthony Costa for a rendition of their hit Rise.

Meanwhile guests enjoyed a Palm Royale themed cake which read ‘Prettiest girl in South Beach’ and cans of Ellie’s cocktail brand Served. 

Ellie revealed her pregnancy as she walked the red carpet heavily pregnant at the Fashion Awards in early December. 

Since her relationship with Beau went public in September 2025, the pair have holidayed together in Italy, where Beau shared online an intimate photograph of Ellie lying in an unmade hotel room bed.

He also appears in several raunchy scenes in Ellie’s latest music video, Destiny.

Opening up about her experience of pregnancy this time, Ellie said in January: ‘I have an amazing boyfriend.

‘I do have it a little easier in that I do have amazing support. I’m still working every day and still writing every day.

‘It’s just that I am growing a human inside me. I’m perhaps not the most, like, Mother Earth about it, if you know what I mean?

‘It’s a beautiful thing to be able to grow a child, and I feel very lucky that I’m healthy – but it’s not all I am right now.’ 

Ellie finalised her divorce from art dealer ex Caspar in January 2025 and the two  remain on good terms as they co-parent Arthur.

Caspar, 34, has moved on with actress Olivia Wilde, 41, with the two spotted enjoying a romantic weekend in Mexico City last month.

Ellie won’t be off work for too long after it was announced this week that she will headline Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Sunderland on Saturday, May 23.

Meanwhile her sixth album will be released later this year, following the success of single Destiny. 

Speaking to the latest issue of NYLON, Ellie confirmed the new long player is heavily influenced by her short-lived marriage.

‘It had always been the goal to start this album,’ she said. ‘I didn’t know it was going to be a divorce album, but that’s the way it started heading.’ 

‘When I married my ex-husband, I thought it was for life. That will never go away,’ she said. ‘There are some songs that are necessary for me to acknowledge that time in my life and to be respectful of it.

‘Then there were some songs that were extremely reactionary and sad that I felt were good to do in the moment but don’t serve me long-term.’

The collapse of her marriage had already turned into a creative issue before she entered the studio, with Ellie forced to tell her producer about the separation on the very day she was introduced to him. 

She recalled: ‘I knew that my marriage wasn’t working out, it was dark times… the day I met Jack was the day I was like, “Jack, I should be candid with you. Today, my husband and I decided we’re going to separate.”‘

But despite the unvarnished nature of her lyrics and their clear personal resonance, Ellie says Caspar remains fully supportive of the project – at least for the time being.

‘My label, my friends – everyone’s behind it,’ she said. ‘And even my ex-husband loves the songs… well, he hasn’t heard all the songs.’
