The young couple recently marked five years since their engagement with heartfelt posts on social media. Brooklyn, 26, alongside a romantic snap with his 30 year old socialite spouse, gushed: “It’s been 5 years since I asked this beautiful woman to marry me xx best decision ever x I love you so much.”

Their special occasion drew applause in the comments, notably from Sir Elton, who shared strong ties with both Brooklyn and Romeo Beckham. Sir Elton penned a heartwarming note that read: “Happy Anniversary to the sweetest, most loving couple,” accentuated with love-heart emojis. The legendary musician’s three-decade friendship with the Beckhams, especially Victoria Beckham, is well known. He even popped up for a brief appearance in the 1997 hit film ‘Spice World’, reports the Mirror.

Victoria, inspired by Sir Elton, made the poignant decision to depart from the Spice Girls, revealing in a letter addressed to her future self that it was Elton’s passion on stage that sparked her realisation that she yearned for a different dream.

Victoria recalled the influential moment in the letter: “Remember years ago, watching your dear friend Elton John on stage in Las Vegas? He performed ‘Tiny Dancer’, as if it were the first time, and you realised this was like oxygen for him.”

She continued, detailing the epiphany that changed her path: “It was a life-changing moment – while singing and dancing was fun for you, it wasn’t your passion. That day, you started your quest to uncover your own dreams. It was time to step away from being a Spice Girl.”
