Emilie Kiser has opened up about the shift in her family’s dynamics following the tragic incident that took place earlier this year, involving her husband, Brady Kiser, and their son, Trigg. The couple faced unimaginable heartbreak when their eldest son drowned at their Arizona home, a tragedy that has inevitably impacted their family relationships.
Over the holiday season, Emilie, 26, and Brady, 28, spent time with Emilie’s family, an experience she shared with her followers on TikTok. In the comments, one user asked about the family’s feelings toward Brady, questioning whether they harbored any anger or resentment towards him. Emilie addressed the inquiry directly, explaining, “My entire family loves him so much. If anything, their unwavering love for him and Trigg has been a cornerstone for us all, helping us come together as a family.”
The devastating news of Trigg’s passing emerged in May when he was discovered unconscious in the family’s pool. At the time, Brady was at home with both sons, Trigg and their 9-month-old, Teddy. Although authorities recommended a criminal charge against Brady, no charges were ultimately filed.
As more details about the incident surfaced, the Kisers have continued to navigate their grief and the public’s interest in their story. Married since 2020, Emilie and Brady’s journey through this tragedy highlights the complexities of family ties and the power of love and support in overcoming such profound loss.
In a statement shared by the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, they confirmed there was “no likelihood of conviction.” Weeks later, Brady’s attorney publicly thanked officials in July for a thorough investigation and referred to the case as “a tragic accident.”
Following a lengthy social media hiatus, Emilie broke her silence about the incident in August.
“Loss of this magnitude feels impossible to put into words,” Kiser wrote via Instagram. “I’ve spent days, weeks, months trying to find them and also take the time I’ve needed to digest the loss of my baby.”

She continued: “Trigg is our baby and our best friend. The light and spirit he brought into this world was bright, pure, joyful and undeniable. We miss him every second of every day and continuing forward often feels unbearable. I never thought we would experience grief in this way or the pain of losing him so suddenly.”
Emilie noted that “no family should ever have to endure” the “pain, heartache and void” they have experienced.
“I take full accountability as Trigg’s mother, and I know I should have done more to protect him,” she wrote. “One of the hardest lessons I carry is that a permanent pool fence could have saved his life, and it’s something I will never overlook again. I hope amidst this pain, Trigg’s story will help prevent other children and families from suffering the same loss.”
Kiser thanked their family for their “unconditional love” and to her audience for the “kind messages.”
“The only way through grief is to keep going minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day and every moment since that day I’ve done my best to keep picking myself up,” she added. “When I started on social media in 2021 as a new mom, my goal was to connect with other moms and find a community. I have found that and so much more through all of you. I found a community, a hobby I love and a job I am so grateful for.”
She concluded: “I have always been my authentic self on social media and tried my best to share my everyday life honestly, while also being mindful of what I didn’t choose to share. I now have seen through this tragedy how relationships online lack boundaries, especially in protecting children’s privacy. Moving forward, I will be establishing more boundaries with what I share online.”
Earlier this month, Emilie posted the first footage featuring Brady after primarily keeping him out of her posts. A source exclusively told Us Weekly that Emilie and Brady “have been thoughtfully working on their relationship” for “a number of months.”
“They have gone through the worst tragedy you could ever experience as parents and they are doing their best to come together as a family,” the insider shared. “This holiday season is so important to bring a sense of normal for their family. And they’re still keeping things private as they work to be the best parents they can to Teddy.”
