Emily Simpson has shared her thoughts on the recent fraud allegations involving Wendy Osefo and Eddie Osefo, following the couple’s arrest last month, which has caught the attention of The Real Housewives of Potomac fans.

In a conversation that also touched on the rumored Instagram activity of Gretchen Rossi and the potential for editing manipulation, Emily, 49, remarked that the legal case against Wendy, 41, and Eddie, 41, appears substantial. She hinted that more details would be revealed during the The Real Housewives of Orange County reunion.
“I know Wendy and she’s wonderful. Every time I’ve encountered her, she’s been incredibly kind,” Emily shared in a Virtual Reali-Tea interview posted on Instagram on November 3.
Despite her favorable personal experiences with Wendy, Emily expressed skepticism about Wendy and Eddie’s ability to overcome the charges, which are linked to an alleged fake burglary incident in April 2024.
Although Emily has only had positive interactions with her fellow Real Housewives star, she didn’t seem to think she and Eddie would be able to evade the charges against them, which stem from a supposedly staged burglary in April 2024.
“I did kind of dig into their case and read about it. It doesn’t look great. I’ll just say that,” she shared. “I do hope that she has some kind of solid defense. I know I read some things about they were saying that maybe the search was illegal. I don’t know.”
“[It] seems like they have a lot of evidence against them. It doesn’t look amazing,” she added.
At another moment of the interview, Emily teased what was to come from Gretchen on RHOC‘s three-part reunion special.
“She spoke really well. And I think she spoke to it very well, and you know, I don’t want to give too much away cuz I want everyone to be able to watch it. But I do feel as if the things she said at the reunion are things that she probably should’ve said in Amsterdam at the dinner,” Emily explained, noting that she and her castmates struggled with the non-reaction Gretchen gave after being confronted about potentially “liking” homophobic and anti-abortion rights posts.
“That’s another reason why our take-away was also difficult with her … I expected a different reaction that night at dinner. Like I would’ve been so irate that someone was putting that out there and making me into something I wasn’t. And it was kind of her lack of emotion and lack of response that was like, very confusing for us,” she shared. “So that was hard. That was a difficult takeaway.”
While Emily couldn’t say what was revealed, she mentioned impending “clarity” and noted that if the screenshots were modified in some way, that would have been “truly evil.”
“There’s more clarity there. As far as the evidence … what Gretchen has and what Tamra has, I don’t know. Those are two people that have a very toxic relationship that they’ve had for years and years,” she reasoned. “[So] I don’t know if there’s a smoking gun, which is what I would like. But at the end of the day, I’ve known Gretchen for years. I don’t think she’s that type of person. I don’t think she feels that in her heart, and if those screenshots were manipulated in any way, that’s just truly evil.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 19 reunion begins Thursday, November 6, at 8/7c on Bravo.
