Kyle Richards has shared plenty of family moments on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills over the course of her 14 seasons on the show, and on social media, she’s offered fans a look into her childhood on a number of occasions in recent years.

In addition to showcasing childhood photographs with her sisters, Kim Richards, 60, and Kathy Hilton, 66, Kyle has posted throwbacks with her mom, Kathleen Richards, and her dad, Kenneth Richards, most recently re-sharing a picture of her father from a fan page on her Instagram Story.

“I love this picture of my sisters and me with our Dad on Christmas morning,” Kyle wrote in the caption of her post.

Years prior, in a June 2017 Father’s Day post, Kyle gave her online audience a look at her dad and an automobile he once owned.

“My Dad Ken … so handsome and smart. Loved to cook and taught us how to. He also loved cars. He was the kind of Dad that would ask what we wanted to do and if we said ‘camping !’ He would say ‘ok, come on , let’s go’ no matter what we said he would drop everything and take us,” she recalled.

“One more pic of my Dad … I was my Dad’s 6th child. He was already a grandfather when I was born. He was a pro at being a Daddy,” Kyle added in the caption of a second post in 2017, which featured Kyle on her birthday.

According to The Daily Dish, Kathleen and Kenneth, a retired lieutenant colonel, welcomed Kyle and Kim during their marriage, and Kenneth later adopted Kathy. He also had three children from his first marriage. After several years of marriage, Kathleen and Kenneth separated in 1972 due to his alleged infidelity, and Kathleen went on to remarry.

Kenneth died in 1998, and four years later, Kathleen passed away in 2002 from breast cancer.

Looking back at her childhood in 2019, Kyle revealed that her parents named her after a football player because they thought she was going to be a boy.

“I was named after Kyle Rote,” she explained of the late New York Giants receiver.
