Inside Jeremy Clarkson’s rarely-seen son Finlo’s life and relationship with dad

Jeremy Clarkson’s daughter Emily might be in the spotlight like her Clarkson’s Farm star father, becoming an author and TV star in her own right, but his rarely-seen son prefers to keep a much lower profile. The former Top Gear presenter has three children in total – daughters Emily and Katya, and son Finlo. He welcomed all three with his second wife Frances Cain before their divorce in 2014.

Finlo, born in March 1997, has mostly kept out of the spotlight – but he is well known for attending football games with his famous dad. The pair have been papped together attending Chelsea FC matches, snapped in 2016 in the stands at Stamford Bridge. It has been reported Finlo is more of a rugby man, though he has also been snapped attending tennis matches with dad Jeremy.

The middle child, Finlo has never made an appearance on Clarkson’s Farm or The Grand Tour, and keeps his romantic life shrouded in mystery too. While it is public knowledge that his sister Emily is married to Alex Andrew and his younger sister Katya is in a relationship with boyfriend Kieran Hiscock, Finlo has kept his own love life on the down-low.

On one of the rare occasions he was spotted out in public with his mum Frances, Finlo was seen wearing a thick neck brace and using crutches after an injury. In 2018, when he was 21, he was seen wearing trunks and a baseball cap at the beach while wearing the brace around his neck and chest, which MailOnline reported is used to treat “cervical and high-thoracic injuries”.

He reportedly underwent keyhole surgery for the injuries after he was spotted holidaying in Barbados.

As for Jeremy, the star has confirmed that Finlo was part of the reason he wanted to get healthy, confessing he got out of breath while walking with him. The star explained: “When I go with my son to Stamford Bridge, he pootles along at what people call ‘walking pace’ and to keep up I have to unleash my inner Bannister.

“Which means that for the first half of the match I can’t concentrate on the football because I’m too busy coughing up my spleen and trying to get my breath back.”
