Actor Darius McCrary has filed a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend, who he claims has been ‘terrorizing’ him for quite some time.

The 46-year-old actor – best known for playing Eddie Winslow in the 1990s sitcom Family Matters – had initially filed an order of protection back in August.

However, the order was not granted because McCrary was a no-show at the hearing, claiming in new court documents (via The Blast) that she’s ‘terrorizing’ him – which comes nearly four years after he settled his divorce with Tammy Brawner – adding he’s fearful of ending up like comedian Phil Hartman, who was murdered by his wife in 1998.

McCrary claimed in the August filing that she broke his car window and tried to attack him with a lead pipe.

The actor added that he didn’t show up for the August hearing because he was, ‘displaced at the time, and had to flee from my ex.’

The documents continued that the actor is, ’emotionally traumatized, and cannot focus on work or day to day for fear.’

He added that he’s not even living in his own home, claiming that is, ‘due to abuse, (physical, verbal, mental) from my ex.’

McCrary continued in the restraining order request that his ex has, ‘turned our then home into a drug den.’

He added that his ex, ‘agreed to leave the country to attend rehab,’ but now she is back, ‘and is now calling and sending threats.’

‘She has taken my possessions and placed them in storage and refuses to return them. She continues to be mentally abusive,’ he added.

The actor stated the ‘final straw’ before filing the restraining order happened in December, when, ‘she threatened to have her friends come take my dog and if I don’t pay her,’ adding, ‘she has keys to my vehicle.’

‘I am afraid she will cause further damage. She continues to call me a punk (and other names we are choosing not to list) and is slandering my name in several professional circles of the entertainment industry,’ he claimed.

McCrary said she is holding onto his personal items of value, ‘and is attempting to extort me,’ before adding that he fears he will, ‘end up like Phil Hartman,’ the beloved Saturday Night Live comedian who was shot and killed by his wife Brynn Omdahl in May 1998, before she then turned the gun on herself and ended her own life.

In addition to the restraining order, McCrary is also seeking a gag order because his ex is ‘tarnishing his name in his workplace.’

McCrary will have a hearing later this month where he will ask the judge to make his temporary restraining order a permanent order of protection.
