Dame Joan Collins delighted fans by giving them a glimpse at rarely seen acting legend Sir Michael Caine as the two enjoyed a lunch catch up with family in London. Michael, who turned 92 on March 14, retired from acting in October 2023 following the release of his highly acclaimed final film The Great Escaper. Since then he has kept a very low profile. However he put his head above the parapet for Joan, 91, as the pair enjoyed lunch wth their respective spouses and other family members.

Joan posted an image of the group to her 554,000 Instagram followers showing the two time Oscar winner smiling and looking happy as his wife Shakira sat beside him. Joan stood behind him beaming with her hand across his shoulder. “A wonderful #reunion @luciorestaurant with Michael and Shakira Caine, sister in law Hazel, brother Bill and of course #ahubby – great food, great ambience and #lorralorralaughs,” the Dynasty legend wrote.

Fans were thrilled to see the two icons together and took to the comments to gush over them.

“So lovely to see Sir Michael,” one commented. “The great & mighty Michael Caine!! Love this…” another wrote.

“Sir Michael the Great! I love to see it!” a third exclaimed.

Another chimed in: “@joancollinsdbe nice seeing Sir Michael and his wife enjoying dinner with yourselves and your brother who we rarely see in public, I hope you all had a great time.”

A fith added: “Oh! What a beautiful company! May you all have joy in your hearts and good health! I love you, my movie stars!”

Meanwhile a sixth opined: “Great friends and lots of fun and stories of the old days I’m sure. Hope you all had a fab time. xx.”

While Michael may have hung up his acting hat Joan remains as busy as ever.

In January she announced she has been cast as Wallis Simpson in a new biopic about the American divorcee who became the Duchess of Windsor after marrying King Edward VIII.
