A Hollywood legend has been spotted tucking into a chippy in the UK town of Port Talbot after losing his home in the deadly LA wildfires.

Anthony Hopkins returned to his UK home town and popped into Steve’s Fish Bar in Wales – shocking workers as they embarked on their usual shift.

The Oscar-winner, 87, posed for a sweet snap in the chip shop, which the small business posted to its Facebook page. It’s not clear what he ordered or whether he took it home to scoff, but it’s clear Anthony was enjoying his traditional English supper.

The shop’s owner posted: “He’s back again for his fish and chips, can’t ask for a better advertisement.”

Anthony gave the takeaway a thumbs-up, posing in a navy blue flat-cap and fleece jacket. A large fish and chips at the restaurant would likely set the Silence of the Lambs star back around £10.

Anthony sadly lost his Pacific Palisades home in the wildfires earlier this month, with his £4.8million mansion burning to the ground. The actor merely penned a message of support and hope to his followers, which read: “As we all struggle to heal from the devastation of these fires, it’s important we remember that the only thing we take with us is the love we give.”

The classic colonial home was almost totally destroyed, however, with only bits of fence remaining. Anthony had recently sold his £8.4million Malibu mansion and moved into the new property – but now he’ll be forced to relocate elsewhere.

Tragically it’s not the first house fire the actor has been involved in. Back in 2000, his London home burned down while Anthony was in Los Angeles, causing him to lose everything.

In 2018, his house was dangerously close to the Woolsey fire – it thankfully survived, though his closest neighbour’s home succumbed to the flames.
