Pop sensation Dua Lipa was left terrified after fans breached security at her hotel, sneaking onto her floor and waiting outside her bedroom door.

The New Rules star, 29, was staying at the luxurious Ritz-Carlton in Santiago, Chile, where she had flown to film a commercial. However, her trip took a frightening turn when overzealous fans managed to bypass security measures.

A source revealed to The Sun: “Things were manic as she touched down with fans desperate to see her. A group of fans gained access not only to her hotel floor but some were found outside her room. Security ended up doing an extra sweep, and there were more fans waiting at her lift.”

The intrusion has reportedly led to a review of Dua’s security arrangements. “Dua said she would not take pictures inside her hotel,” the source added.

But surprisingly, this isn’t the first time Dua has faced an alarming breach of privacy. Last year, she was forced to halt rehearsals for Glastonbury after a TikTok wannabe broke into her rehearsal space in Birmingham.

Despite the ordeal, the singer is gearing up to hit the stage again in March as she kicks off the second leg of her massive stadium tour in support of her third album, Radical Optimism.

The star has yet to comment on the incident. Dua jetted off to the South American country with her make-up artist Katie Jane Hughes and fashion exec Olivia Moss.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday (January 19), the singer shared a collection of snaps from a booze-filled night of partying during the trip, featuring a tray of flame-burning tequila shots.

In one snap, Dua was seen looking away from the camera as she held onto the gold chain strap of her handbag – and flashed her stunning diamond ring.

The star is reportedly engaged to actor Callum Turner, 34, after he “got down on one knee for a romantic proposal” over Christmas. Reports confirmed Dua and Callum, known for his role in the Fantastic Beasts films, were indeed engaged.

She captioned the snaps: “Thank you Chileeeee!! I love it here so much see you soon.” The Houdini hitmaker and Callum first sparked romance rumours early last year in January when they both attended a Masters Of The Air afterparty in London.

A source told The Sun: “Dua and Callum are so in love and know this is forever. They are engaged and couldn’t be happier. Dua has had one of the best years of her career professionally and this is the cherry on the cake.

“Callum is such a solid support for Dua and they make a wonderful couple. Their family and friends are so happy. It’s been an amazing Christmas for them.”
